The ISP Connection Display

Hello,

I still have Windows XP. My folks next door have upgraded Windows 7 but have dial up. Now I knew how to create a icon in the tray to show the connection status and showed what speed it was at. I cant seem to get it to display on Windows 7... because 7 is marked so much diffrent than XP. How do I get the icon to display the dial up connection speed?

Thanks. 🙂

To find gadgets, right click on the desktop and in the popup menu will be "gadget". That will open a small screen of some built in windows gadgets. I don't think it has what you want built in, so select the option to find some more online and then take a look around the MS site for what you want. Who knows, might even find a few more that you like. I use one that has the north east dopplar radar and anther that shows your cpu and memory usage.

dfuze got it right.

There are a ton of them out there. Some are more useful then others. Search ideas might be networking, dial up, and the like.
