Holy hell. wtf is going on with our government. The Government is not our overlord. I think they forgot they work for us, we do not work for them. every single agent who did this crime needs to be charged and rot in jail. Total abouse of power and its time that assholes like these agents get bitch slapped.

In a story reported by Erin McCann of Healthcare IT News, (You can follow her on Twitter @EMcCannHITN), the IRS is alleged to have improperly accessed some 60 million medical records from 10 million Americans, including medical records of all California state judges.

According to a story by Courthousenews.com, whose correspondent Rebekah Kearn first reported on the legal skirmish, an unnamed healthcare provider in California is bringing the lawsuit against the IRS and 15 of its agents. The personal health information was allegedly seized by the IRS on March 11, 2011.

The medical records included information on psychological counseling, gynecological counseling, sexual and drug treatment, and other sensitive medical treatment data. A copy of the legal complaint can be purchased

“No search warrant authorized the seizure of these records; no subpoena authorized the seizure of these records; none of the 10,000,000 Americans were under any kind of known criminal or civil investigation and their medical records had no relevance whatsoever to the IRS search.

Despite knowing that these medical records were not within the scope of the warrant, defendants threatened to ‘rip’ the servers containing the medical data out of the building if IT personnel would not voluntarily hand them over,” the complaint reads.

That kind of says it all, doesn't it.

Obama and his staff need to go.

And so does the IRS.

I must be behind the times. I thought that they could do this in secret and did so whenever they felt "justified".

Between what wall street engages in and what our government does, I don't think there is any room for moral outrage to find footing. It's all pathological, no room for morals or ethics.

Or where they went right. Now all California judges will be unable to rule due to conflict of interest

Judges can and will rule on whatever they want, legal or not and it will take the action of a fellow judge to undo it - a fellow judge who also has had their records illegally stolen.

Give these people the power and this is how they will abuse it. Why does this surprise people?

But sacrifices have to be made for the greater good. This legislation is solid and only nitpickers cry aboutsuch things. It's vision for the future.

Question becomes

Why was it done?

And then from there; where did the authorization come from?

Holy smokes, this should be a big story. This is only the tip of the iceberg of abuse the public can expect with this new obummercare structure.

I do think they screwed up by taking the information for all the judges in Cali, now they have skin in the game and are more likely to think about how this stuff impacts people.

That would be the reasonable approach. But this is P&N, since when do we do reasonable here?

And this suit is against alleges 15 guilty agents. The IRS employs 106,000 people, so this is not some proof of widespread corruption. Add this to the political targeting and you still likely have less than 1/10th of 1% of IRS employees involved. The man in charge of the IRS during both these situations is already gone too.

How much you want to bet a lot of this ties into the so called War on Drugs..? Look at all the raids going on at all the various Pharmacies (legitimate ones, like Walmart, CVS, Walgreens) and the seizure of all patients personal medical records and prescription records. You also have the DEA seizing the pharmacies manufacturing sites, and so on.. there are numerous news articles on this.

I would not put the blame on Obama, I think this goes so much deeper honestly, I think he has just become an easy scape goat for something else that is going on with our country.

I agree not putting the blame on Obama without more proof.

I gotta admit i find it odd that everything seems to be coming out at the same time. 2 from the IRS itself.

but the fact they readied so many is (well should) be a major cause for concern for people. the fact they did EVERY judge should terrify people.
