So I've decided to start posting what I eat in a thread. I know about fitday and other such sites, but those require you to enter specific foods and if it's not in their database, tough. Plus they don't really provide for outside critique.

No real goal here, already at a healthy weight (5'11" 175 lbs) just want to get a record I can look at, see if there's anything I can improve. Please keep in mind I am a University student and am largely restricted to what the dining halls are serving.

So without further ado:

Brunch: August 4, 2012
1 yellow omelet: spinach, mushroom and onion
2 pieces of Canadian bacon (small slices of ham, about 2.5" in diameter)
~ 1/3 dinner plate of boiled potatoes.
One small (half a dinner plate) salad: spinach, green bell peppers, cucumbers, onions and carrots.
2 glasses of water

Just a quick suggestion - every one of your meals has potatoes in it. Substitute something with a little bit more nutrition in there - squash, sweet potato, quinoa. Keeps things interesting and you don't just get straight starch with every meal.

Yeah, that'd probably be the Irish in me. Give me potatoes and a little salt and I'm set for life. :)

But as I said I'm largely restricted to what the dining halls are serving. Usually they have some variety of potato, but not much in the way of alternatives on the starch front. But sometimes they'll have sweet potatoes or yellow squash. I'll keep it in mind.

Pickings were slim tonight, usually are on Sundays. Although strangely enough the salad bar had a better selection (although they ran out of Spinach :p)

Dinner: August 5, 2012
2x pieces of fried sesame chicken, about 1.3x the mass of a Chick-Fil-A sandwich
~1/3 dinner plate of fried rice noodles
1x 1.5 dinner plate salad: Lettuce, cucumber, mushroom, variety-colored bell peppers, broccoli, and copious amounts of black olives. :)
1x slice of apple pie
3x glasses of water
2x cups of black tea (unsweetened)

So it's been a very long, on-the-go day today, meaning I couldn't make the hours for the dining halls, meaning my diet sucked. 4:20 in the morning now, thankfully I don't have to get up until 11:00.

Breakfast: August 6, 2012
1x Slice of whole wheat bread
1/2x glass of water

Lunch: August 6, 2012
1x Chick Fil A chicken sandwich
1x Large Chick Fil A Waffle Fries
1x Bottle of water

Dinner: August 6, 2012
1x Chipotle Burrito Bowl: Brown rice, black beans, peppers/onions, chicken, mild salsa
1x glass of water

Post-dinner snack:
1x Peanut butter sandwich: Whole wheat bread, Jif extra crunchy peanut butter.
1x glass of water
