The Iraqi government needs to create a secret police.

I believe the reason why so many attacks is that terrorists have no fear. They roam wild and so brazen. They don't fear the police or military.

Allawi needs to create a secret police who can control the population and root out the terrorists only.

STRIKE FEAR into them!!!!

Not the regular citizen, but the terrorists only. This is the key difference between the former secret police and Gestapo from Nazi era. They would only target foreign Syrian, Iranian, Al Queda, and non-conformers.

The US already employed the Mukhbarat (Saddam's secret police, torturers and henchmen). And Negroponte is an old hand at setting up death squads.

What do you think the US is doing?

In South Korea for years after the war they used a special military police that had what amounted to God Authority. I have seen these guys come into a bar with a gun loaded and cocked stuck into their trousers. These guys were all black belts and were not to be messed with.

The other thing I dont understand is why there is not a curfew after dark.

Hahahahahahahahahaha....

Please please please pleeeease tell me that Passions is really some elaborate sarcastic character that you are using as flame bate.

They already have such units, or at least one operational.

I recall a few months back a US unit on patrol disarmed several plain clothes and uniformed people torturing Iraqis at a makeshift prison like facility. This was before any Iraqi military units were deployed anywhere on their own. They were later forced to release them and allow them to go back to their duties because they were part of the Iraqi government. I recall the commander of the US unit being sore about it because this is what they were supposedly there to prevent or fight against.

I recall reading this story on this forum actually but that was months ago. Couldn't find it on a cursory search.

My G/F grew up in S. Korea during the 70's and 80's. Anyone who thinks that a secret police force, in any shape or form, obviously has no experience of them.
As for Passions, he just seems to live in a self-delusional world of his own, where he can spew outrageous and stupid ideas with no comprehension of their true meaning or effect.
