I want a iphone.. but can't really upgrade yet. A friend of mine has a brand new iphone 3g 8gb.. .he said he will sell for $300.. is that too much?
 
Yeah. I should probably wait till April when I can upgrade and get the 3Gs then.. although.. There is a new one coming out. So I wish I could wait till then.. I just want one.

Thats Apple for you, they'll have a refresh of the iPhone by this coming June. However, if you still do want an iPhone, you could try eBay and get the first generations for cheap.
 
$300 is a bit on the high side. Tell him/her $275 - which is the going rate on Ebay. (right now there's several around $270).
 
Its brand new though.. the good thing about it is not having to deal with contracts and I work with him.. so I don't have to deal with ebay and shipping.. and I can also pay $200 up front.. and the rest later
 
is it unlocked iphone? in that price range is ok but to save money you can same model for 99 dollar...brand new. ATT and Best Buy has them...Of course you can unlock it for free
