The invasion has begun! PICS!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always said that Fear Factor should've done a Cicada-eating episode!! Forget them Madagascar hissing cockroaches......................these would've taken the cake!! (pun intended!) LOL!!!

😀

I've seen articles about the zoo animals loving the cicada infestations that is happening various places (midwest I think, although I haven't really notice any but I am in town so).

They had a section in morning news about these beauties and they featured these people who would cook these ugly things. They fried then and boilen and stuff.

The guy who tried one said it tastes peanut-buttery.

They're fun to pickup and watch they're little fluttery noise maker thing under they're wing. Looks cool, all flappin around and junk.

Cicada and Jelly sandwiches FTW!

Wow, I've seen a few before here and there in chicago but never that bad - that's disgusting! Glad I left when I did. 😱

I just found out from my mom that the last time the cicadas were to visit, we didn't get so much as a peep out here. I wonder if it's going to be a cicada dead-zone again?

We had them invade Northern VA/DC area a few years ago.

Man, I'm so glad they're gone. It was DISGUSTING. I'd exit my office and we'd walk to lunch and get hit in the HEAD from these things flying all over the place. Carcasses were EVERYWHERE on the ground, you couldn't take 3 steps without *CRUNCH*
