Surfing the world wide web used to be so much fun. But - and maybe it is just me - now it seems like there isn't anything interesting to do on the net.

I only have 5 sites I frequently visit:
- AnandTech (incl. forums)
- DailyTech (for the Jason Mick LULZ)
- BleacherReport
- NYTIMES Technology page
- Google News (normally just search for my favourite celebrities/tech products).

Can anybody suggest an interesting time sink.

Is anyone else bored of the internet and finding themselves spending more time disconnected from the information superhighway? There comes a point after the nth PC v Mac debate, and the nth Republican v Democrat troll fest, that its just not "fun" anymore.

I have been feeling the same thing about the net. I find that pc games dont seem to be good as they used to be. I loved the old school strategy games like warcraft 2 and the like,

I find i get ecited over less xbox games. I am looking forward to fable 3 coming out and Cod7

But yeah, pcs, xbox and the net is getting old.

The Internet is a tool. How you use the tool and what you craft from it is up to you.

The internet is like your mom. She might be boring, but that doesn't keep me from riding her every day.

http://www.buzzfeed.com/Can't count the number of times I put off sleep and ended up going to work on less than 2 hours of sleep because I was too busy F5ing 4chan. Buzzfeed/Cracked/CollegeHumor/LiveLeak etc. are all decent sources for your amusement. Uncyclopedia.org and EncyclopediaDramatica can consume just as much time as Wikipedia.

Or check out a few webcomics. Maybe go through the Questionable Content archives (I have done this a few times). Concerned was great if you are Half-Life 2 fan.

Earlier this week, I don't know how I found the site but I spent way too much time on this blog (NSFW, some pages feature stick figures getting it on).

This is a sure sign you need a break from the internet/you are on too much. Take a few days off from checking anything on the internet and when you return it won't seem as boring.

But then he would be left like a million internet years behind. :(
