On a related note:

"This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it or their revolutionary right to dismember it or overthrow it."

-- Abraham Lincoln, 4 April 1861

"Every generation needs a new revolution." -- Thomas Jefferson

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty.... And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure. " -- Thomas Jefferson

"An elective despotism was not the government we fought for. "

Other Jefferson quotes:

"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty."

"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty. "
"The majority, oppressing an individual, is guilty of a crime, abuses its strength, and by acting on the law of the strongest breaks up the foundations of society." - Thomas Jefferson

unfortunatly these words from great men aren't as catchy as "Your either with us or against us." or "Bring 'em on!"
Who does W think he is speaking for?
The founding fathers would be out in the streets marching with the "wackos" if not straight up arming them for the final assult on Washington methinks.

I really want them running around my country with guns yeee haa!

then why dont you pick up a weapon and try and change things. You think its easy being in the military, go to it, i urge you. The things you described are very very miniscule to what these fine civilians do day in and day out.

I wish you luck, brave SteepleRot, on organizing your glorious revolution. There's been a lot of rifraf in need of cleaning out for quite a while now and that sounds like just the way to do it.

Stuff like this disgraces Pat Tillman? Sorry, that man was extremely off-kelter before 9/11. He rushed himself to his own grave. Why people idolize a wildman that did some pretty irrational behaviors throughout his life is beyond me. Yeah, kids, go smoke pot, drink heavily, and then go climb light poles to meditate... cool, dude.

The prez's staff got rid of the democrat woman wearing the star. Enough said.
