Didn't see that an inauguration thread had been started yet.
Just wishing Joe and Kamala a fantastical inauguration. And something very positive that I stumbled across to mention.... I make video, video shorts (and longs sometime), that's what I do and I was putting together a Joe Biden The 46th President video, something on the scale of Cecil B. DeMille  and so I was looking for photos of Joe Biden and guess what.... almost every single photo I could dig up of Joe, Joe was smiling. Smiling all the time. In fact, I had a hard time finding that just right photo of Joe where Joe looked presidential but WAS NOT smiling. There are a lot of photoshopped photos where someone made Joe out to look evil or nasty or dumb and those were about the only "no smile" photos out there. What I realized was.... I was very surprised that Joe is such a positive, happy, easy going human being. Joe certainly does enjoy a smile and no doubt enjoys life and the people around him. Unlike that "other" 45th president who's name shall go unmentioned and who never smiles dare it might break his face. Ninety percent of those photos of old 45, of old sour-puss he is never smiling and that should tell us a lot, that old president sour-puss was not a happy man and that might explain also why his followers were so unhappy and probably explains why Fox News is so unhappy as well. THEY NEVER SMILE!!! But Joe smiles, and Joe smiles A LOT. That must be a good thing to look forward to in any president. And by the way... Kamala smiles a lot too, so we have two upbeat positive-attitude leaders ruling the free world. And both will take the oath of office this morning (or I guess noon technically). Maybe after we few months of president Joe Biden and vice president Kamala Harris, just maybe a lot of Americans will be smiling once again. Test this for yourself, google Joe Biden and try to find a portrait-like photo where Joe is not flashing that big friendly Joe Biden smile. :)

I'm gonna be asleep as I have to work tonight, although I wouldn't normally bother watching an inauguration and I don't see that changing, but definitely nice to see it after the shitshow of the past 4 years and especially the attempt to overthrow the government.

Biden and Harris, there's a lot that America needs from you and a lot that America hopes you can achieve, I hope you're ready for the challenges, and I hope you can live up to even just 1/10th of it because even that will be quite a feat. You seem to have a good grasp that the low expectations set by your immediate predecessors actually elevates what people expect of you. Good luck, and expect us to push you to do better always.

Oh god he’s going to deliver an ad-libbed speech at Andrews AFB on his way out the door. One last act of denial.

lying his way out the door about his complete lack of accomplishments.

lol--still taking credit for literally everything that Obama did for the VA.

the vaccine: it has functionally been under development for 10 years or longer, all the work that became the vaccine has been going on for a long time. They didn't "start at zero" 9 months ago.

the jobs numbers are great, the best ever, if you ignore the last year. Ignore the bad jobs response and we are the best!

blaming China again.

....I wonder if the FBI will be waiting to pay a visit at 12:01 at Mar a Lago.

lol, now he's absorbing the adulation from a scattered crowd of low-functioning retards.

What's everybody wearing to the inauguration? I'll be in my pink Izod shirt, collar flipped, and a smile.

I was a fool expecting something good from the Donald and his fanatics.
No "fireworks show" today, right?

The military presence is as much about deterrence as it is dealing with threats. Like the Capitol rioters and other wannabes, I suspect those amateur insurrectionists are the sort who'd balk if they actually had to face someone with a gun.

This. Having a bunch of guys with M4s who actually will shoot you in the face if threatened is too much for the self declared 'militia' types.

Trump's final words to his taint-lickers: "I'll be back in some form."

What form does he mean? An ammonia gas cloud?

I have a friend who genuinely believes this; he's been parroting the same shit for months.

What happens when the Q plot fails? These people are salivating at what they know will transpire over the next hour. What happens when reality deviates from what they've been promised by their 8chan prophets?
