I went to houston this past weekend for my friends wedding. Well, I took a date that I knew liked me seriously, she has told me this more than once, but I have told her that nothing serious would happen between us. well, we go to the hotel that we are staying at some 4 hrs b/4 the wedding and some flirting/kissing takes place. After we get back from the wedding much of the same happens. she ends up topless in bed and what not and says that she wants to go further but only if it meant that a serious relationship would come out of it.
I tell her no, like all the times b/4 and she tells me more or less that she wish i would change my mind. I tell her no and it ends pretty much there. All i had to do was tell her that we would be in a relationship and i could have layed her, but I chose to stick to my guns and say no.

So tell me: am i stupid or a good guy?

oh yeah, on a side note, both of our parents know each other very well, our sisters play softball together, and both of our parents would like to see us together.

Yea, you did the right thing, so i guess that makes you a dawg????
Good Decision.

Don't fault yourself -- you stuck with your instincts and you'll be better off for it.

A relationship you don't want is rarely worth the nookie that causes it. Or so I hear. 😉

You did the right thing, but I also have to throw in that you shouldn't have let things start in the first place knowing how she feels about you. Why aren't you interested in her, if you don't mind me asking?

she has the tendency to be quite immature at times. very hard headed, not in a cute way at all, plus anything that i tell her n confidence more or less will end up with her telling my dad at some point in time. she is cute and fit, she ran cross country in high school and teaches swimming now, but i still find her only slightly attractive
during the wedding processional i had to tell her to quiet down 3 times while the parents and bridesmaids were walking in. it really turned me off.

sidenote: she said that she isn't against casual kissing but that sex would have to be a relationship thing

thanks to the ones that said i'm good

let me see if i can find a pic to scan

Good explanation. It sounds like she isn't the girl for you. Be careful about what you do with her though, because even if she says that making out is OK, you could end up really hurting her.

Again, WTG for not lying and having sex. It takes a real man to do this.

here you go. just added the second one for fun

the girl i took to houston is jen, and the other girl is one that i'm still chasing back at college
sorry to do it this way but it wouldn't let me link it directly

You did an incredibly smart thing, and you are a good guy in my opinion. She sounds like the kind of person you have to kill to get rid of them 😉

Link's working now 😀.

She's nice 😉.....I don't know if I coulda held out. I probably would've been a dog and nailed her then said "whattya mean, 'relationship'??"

I've got to respect a guy who can say "no" rather than tell a lie and promise a relationship that is not forthcoming.

Can't comment on whether you're a dawg, but if you are, you're a good dawg. 🙂
