Oh yeah and with regards to the bluetooth mouse...

I was expecting to get one, but to be honest, I have no need for it. The trackpad on the Macbook is fantastic. For a start its much bigger than u usually find, you can always get from one side of the screen to the other in one movement of your finger. The dragging function works well, if you place two fingers on the pad and move them around you scroll around the document, and if you tap the pad with two fingers its a control-click (right click). The bluetooth mouse is cool... but you cant right click on it, theres no way of scrolling a document, and it doesnt have the side pressure buttons for expose which makes other Mac mouses great.

But still, it is schaweeet!!!

Even two years ago, such a thread would be filled with Mac-bashing. My next computer will be a Windows Vista dual-core Crossfire gaming rig, because I've already got a start on that project, but the one after that will definitely be a Mac of some flavor. But they have to come up with a better way of doing that context menu - I refuse to Ctrl-Click.

In the future, our homes will be piled high with the old computers we never use anymore.

Get a two button mouse and right click...

The future is now.

I have a big MacBook Resource Site here:

http://macbook.wiredby.com/

Lots of good info, browse through it sometime! For ram, I'd recommend G.Skill - on sale right now, you can snag 2 gigs for $150:

As far as Bluetooth mice go, RadTech has a lot of good ones. Check out the BT500 and BT600:

http://www.radtech.us/Products/Default.aspx#CategoryBluetooth

Like others have said:

Nero: Toast
DVD Shrink: Mac the Ripper, HandBrake, DVD2oneX2, Toast
Outlook: Apple Mail, Entourage, Thunderbird

If you're concerned about scratching and keeping your MacBook nice and clean, buy an invisibleSHIELD, at least for the palmrest area:

Bottom shield
Full body shield
Standard shield

If you think that it's a waste of money, visit this website:

You're going to love the switch. Force yourself to use OS X for a week, even if it's difficult to switch from XP, and you'll find yourself loving it more and more every day. If you have any questions, just ask. I'm a big MacBook/Mini fan :)

Get at least 1GB for sure.

And I think you'll be fine with iCal, Mail, and the Address book that come with OS X.
