the ibm 46gb ata 100 drive, is it 60gxp or 75gxp?

Well the 45gig version must be a 75GXP because it uses 15gig platters...it was also the most unreliable of all their 75's...

There's a 45GB 75GXP (many people seem to have problems with this particular drive)
And there's a 40GB 60GXP, but I haven't seen a 46GB drive, I'm guessing it's probably the 45GB 75GXP.

Edit: Bah, beat me to it 😉

That drive would be a 75GXP. Be aware, however, that drive has a very high rate of failure. I had one go on me and it is not a fun experience.

The only one you hear repeated problems with is the 45GB version.

It's actually a little more than 45Gig, it's a 3 platter drive, and the platters are actually a bit more than 15gig...around 15.3 I think.

My 30 gig is actually 30.7, and the 45gig is actually 46.1 on the labels.

There is no 45gig 60gxp, just 20, 40 and 60.

Oh and the model number for the 45gig 75gxp is DTLA-307045
You can check that out, the model number for the 60gxp is really weird...
