These are harder to find than the 7800GTX 512. I had no problem getting one on launch day and these are OOS within 10 minutes.

Yeah id say im lucky, if you can get one of these on the first set of shipments today for under $400 with shipping you are LUCKY. They are instantly being sold out and are so hard to get. If you dont get it today, youll probably have to wait till Sept 27th to order it again, so being realistic here, if you dont get em today, you wont see them till october.

I wouldn't say lucky, i would say impatient. Again, nothing today or in the next 6 months needs this power from a $380.99 price tag video card. When main stream games and apps need this power, it will be down around $300 bucks. $380.99 to get 3-5 more FPS out of crysis...smart buy. But whatever.

NCIX's stock application is not accurate. I've called them already and they are WELL backordered and I made my order yesterday.

So your saying we may not get them next week, we may have to wait longer....... that stinks when your building a new rig, and you dont have a graphics card at all. Im not impatient, I just need A graphics card so I can game. Why not get the one with DX11 and superior AA/AF for futerproofing?

This makes me wonder if they aren't just taking 5870's and disabling 2 simd units. Maybe they've had better yields than expected, I remember with 3870 they didn't even have to do a respin. This could be a continuation of the "make-up karma" from all the bad stuff that happened around the 2900 release.

Or maybe AMD has learned lessons from Black Edition CPUs and plan to sell unlockable 5850s. :D

mm man its so tempting to get a 5850 as well for my other comp, but i hardly use it lol. should just save the cash for full card blocks for both 5870s i get

Thought I'd chime in here. I ordered from Newegg last night, but my internet connection was being funny and it didn't see to go through :(. So, I ordered an XFX 5870 from NCIXUS this morning and it should arrive tomorrow by 10:30AM :D. Too bad I don't get to play with it until the weekend :(.

alright so i called ZZF cause my card was still in "packing" for over 24 hours, turns out they were backordered and wont be in until the 29th lol. good thing i havent maxed my credit yet, im gonna shop around for someone who has an XFX model in stock lol. still pissed, i could have ordered one from newegg when they were still in stock but i didnt

so i just talked to a rep in their live chat, my order is in fact placed and being processed for delivery before ZZF gets em back in stock. guess i better call and cancel my order with ZZF lol
