2 RT tickets to Edinburgh for a short trip in April. Just have to drive down to Boston for the JetBlue nonstop.

And for once in my life, I actually had to use the 24-hour cancellation policy after buying airfare: the tickets dropped by about $160 (total) the following morning. Maybe it was a fluke, but $160 is $160.

Wow. no one went with the obvious. I'm proud of you guys.

You put material in the inner chamber and run hot water around it to gently heat it. You can pull a vacuum or introduce gasses too.

If it's any consolation my first thought was crack pipe. I'm not convinced that's wrong.

Deuterocohnia brevifolia, a bromeliad that grows into giant mounds. This one is about four inches across.

We had one for years that outgrew its pot so we put it in the ground. A couple years ago, we had a heavy, wet snow that froze the top of the plant even though we had a blanket on it and it wasn't all that cold. It's still alive and it may redevelop into a mound again. It is about 18 inches by 24 inches.

This was the first plant in 2008 when we planted it. It eventually ate the pot and we had to transplant the other plants to keep them from being buried.

The Great COVID Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020 got me hooked on Bidets. I am adding a new one to my collection:

Bit of a diceroll for an entire toilet + bidet from an unknown brand, but at $400 shipped on sale ($540 normally), it's only a bit more than just the lid & I wanted to replace the aging round-bowl design in my guest bathroom.

Features:

1. Compact elongated tankless design (with backup power-out flush)
2. Auto-flush & foot-sensor sensor
3. Heated water with heated seat
4. Auto-open & auto-close with LED night light

These are the things that I get excited about in 2025 😂

That's pretty cool. I assume it mostly still works like a regular toilet but just has the extra features right? That would actually be neat for a RV or camp even, less TP going into the septic or holding tank.

I have to wonder about the life expectancy of this thing. That's a lot of gadgets in one crapper, is it reasonable to expect 25 years out of it? Ten seems more likely because of all the gadgetry.
I've pulled toilets out of homes that were 50 years old and still operated flawlessly and looked fine if a bit dated. They always work because they're extremely simple and very easy to repair when something breaks. The internal parts are bye and large universal.
It sure looks cool, though I'm a little unsure about the blue turd light, I've never needed to do an examination that required a secondary light source.

Interesting rig, let us know how it works out.
I couldn't put one in my bath without opening walls or running an extension cord.

I wanted to get rid of my round-bowl toilet & get a bidet for that one, so the price was right!

Never tried an AIO tankless...I'm nervous LOL

I'm very much unclear as two what constitutes a tankless toilet. But I think it might be what one of mine is.

In the tank area, it has to pressure vessels. Those somehow capture the water pressure and then that pressurizes the water when you flush.

When they actually work, they're pretty impressive. The water comes out like a truck driver finally taking a piss that he's been hold onto for a couple hundred miles.

Unfortunately, they seem predisposed to periodic malfunctions which then renders the toilet useless.

Just bought 5 pairs of jeans. My current jeans were getting really loose and old so figured it was time to replace them. I was not really paying attention to the prices and it came up to like $300, yikes. Still cheaper than a single pair of Diesels though. 😛
