The price was plausible cause I've seen them about that much from distressed product resellers, and I didn't question it further :^/

All good. Hopefully it's just someone trying to make false orders and not steal your card info. I got hit by one of those before as well.

DarnTough is having a sock sale, and I got 16 pair of socks for <$60. Says it ends in ~2hr. I recommend these socks very highly, and you won't touch these prices anywhere else.

edit:
Bullshit link removed. Sorry :^(
Ughh now I'll have to go in and cancel my info etc. lol

The whole thing pisses me off. This is old people amateur hour shit. I'm usually paranoid and keep things locked down tight, but a friend sends me a link, and my brain shuts down. I don't even care about the socks that much. I have a bunch squirreled away that I bought cheap elsewhere :^/

Nah no biggie. Just contacted my cc and disputed it via chat. Don't think there's really anything else I could do at this point!

I just got a shipment notification. Y'all think anything will showup? If it does, I don't expect it'll be anything but a counterfeit, but if it's a good counterfeit, I might consider it good enough. I'm not sure I want to click the tracking link to see what it says.

They may actually send real stuff or close to real at least. These scammers want repeat business to last for a while before packing up and running.
Yeah it can be a bit of a crapshoot.

The one time I got had, the shipment ended up being sent to my city but a different address, making a simple CC dispute difficult.

I had to go to my local USPS to have them do a lookup on the delivery address with the tracking number the seller provided. That showed that the actual delivery address and my address were not the same. Got refunded but it was still a pain

Yea, they're super cool. Patronize them as much as you can. They're having money problems, and need all the customers they can get. It would be a shame to lose a treasure like them.

We went to The Great Mall in Milpitas this weekend to do some back to school shopping for my daughter. I felt like that place was never ending. We spent eight freakin hours in that place! There was a few times where I just found a chair and sat for almost an hour at a time while the wife and daughter walked around and tried shit on. It was an insane waste of time for me, but I was required to go because my wife was too afraid to drive in the Bay. I did get a few pairs of Hey Dudes and some shirts out of it, but never again do I ever want to spend a literal entire day at a mall.

It was also surprisingly busy in the afternoon. A lot of people out shopping and spending $$$.

I bought some beakers from this site a couple of days ago, but I just started really exploring it today. This is the "We cleaned out the basement of every great grandpa in the US and put the stuff online" store and I love it.

I used to love that site. I was even on their catalog mailing list.

I lost interest when it started to look as if they might be getting a little gready.

At first, you could find really unusual stuff for dirt cheap. I guess they felt they were a bit too cheap. Then, you could regularly find things that were still interesting and cool and weird, but IMHO, just not worth the price anymore.
