Getting this as a gift. I know I've led a sheltered life, but my therapist has never read or seen the Bicentennial Man. Like, WTF!?!

Also got four tattoos. Not putting them up here as I do not care to be recognized. I like being anonymous. Wife says I need to pace myself. I said I've only been to the tattoo shop three times but retorted, "In three days." She's just jealous. She broke the kitchen faucet (hence the above purchase) like Superwoman.

When Midwinter Night's Dram from High West is running $200-$400 a bottle one seeks out alternatives.

A guy told me some decades ago as we walked together (we both DJs at college radio station, I still am) "you cultivate anonymity." "That's not fair, you know!" I have chewed on that remark ever since and never figured he was wrong. I have therefore stopped thinking that it's smart to try to be anonymous. Be who you are, be direct, speak your mind, to hell with the consequences.

"Always be ready to speak your mind and a base man will avoid you." - William Blake

It certainly beats being a truth avoiding liar, which SO MANY PEOPLE ARE most of the time.

Ordered this big Zojirushi vacuum insulated traveler, i.e. 20oz. This has the Slick-Steel interior, not the non-stick interior coating (which most of the Zojirushi travel mugs appear to have) which customers say has 30% less thermal insulation properties.

So, I posted around a couple weeks ago my experiment where I filled my 40oz Hydro Flask and 16oz Zojirushi insulated travel containers with boiling hot water and ~23-24 hours later measured the temperature. The Hydro Flask was at 110F, the Zojirushi at 118F. Admittedly, the Hydro Flask had a little dent in it which might have compromised its performance.

I did the same with my just received 20oz Zojirushi and it measured 122F. The clear WINNER. Perfect for coffee, actually, although brewed coffee (plus ~2oz cold milk) will not start out close to 212F.

I order, like 3 books a month. I'm more interested in legends than fun stories. The commentary on the tales is worth review.

Oh, I don't mind your posting it, I was only suggesting that it could be indicative of an overindulgence on your part. You misunderstood me.

40a MPPT charge controller for $155.99 on sale.

No matter what I will find a use for it at some point either now or later. I'm thinking of adding more solar to my shed so current plan is to use it for that. Hydro and gas both went up so I want to start using solar power a bit more seriously now. I still need to add the automation stuff for that first though. Basically a battery voltage monitor that will turn off the inverter if it gets too low. That way I can just let it run year round and actually use the power without worrying about running down the battery. I have 2 340w panels in my garage I have yet to use for anything so I might put them on my deck for now. When I build a pergola over my deck I want to put a couple kw of solar on it. too. The 2 panels were originally for my off grid property but didn't end up putting work into that this year because of my foot. I do have parts to build a portable solar station for there which I will end up using more anyway until I have an actual structure built.

Flank steak, pork tenderloin, fresh corn, ground beef, onions, zucchini, garlic, cold cuts, bread, buns, asparagus, cheese, shredded mozzarella, pizza sauce and uncured pepperoni to make pizza mountain pies, shiitake cremini and babybelt mushrooms, and more stuff to add to all the other stuff for a three-night camping trip.

Just going to be chilling in the woods with a few hikes. Can't wait to be kicking back on my camping chair at the fire with my dog and a cute friend.
