My wife texted to ask if we needed anything. I jokingly requested Freddy's cheese curds. She got them.

Arteries, to god-damned hell with arteries! We have no arteries. In fact, we don't need arteries. I don't have to show you any stinking arteries.

I don't know if he eventually upgraded to a pig heart but for the longest time I think Dick Cheney was getting by on a couple of LVA pumps. No heartbeat, just smooth, evil, blood flow.

edit: left ventricular assist

Now search on penitentes crucifixion.
You're worried about finding enough people to nail to a cross?! I'd have to order nails by the boxcar load!

Some unsolicited and possibly inapposite advice but I ran my HTPC rig like that for a while - just 2 DRAM bars and it eventually killed one of them. It did take a couple years and there are any number of possible causes. Let's just say I've never had that problem with a full rack.

Sucks that your RAM died BUT I highly doubt it had anything at all to do with only running two dimm's.... overclocking/jacking up the VDIMM OTOH could EASILY have fried it! (mine does 3333 @ default 1.35v)

;)

In fact motherboards having issues or even being unable to run at all with 4 dimm's installed used to be fairly common but it doesn't come up often anymore at least with DDR4.

I got the mineral wool. It doesn't feel crunchy. Sort of weird.

Anyway, put that in the fire pit and no smoke, smell, anything when the fire went out. I think burning time on a full canister might be shorter. Not sure. But this tweak and the screen really do seem to make it pretty much perfect. I'd have to calculate the BTUs from alcohol vis a vis the comparative cost, but I might break even using it as a space heater.

I bought a right-angled USB 3.0 adapter for my motherboard's connector to tidy up the case a bit.

Latest purchases:
Untitled Goose Game - my wife loved this
Ring Fit Adventure - surprisingly difficult and I work out a lot

3 sets of shelving for my basement - to get my wife's crap off the floor. Actually unreasonably excited to get my basement cleaned up. We have a small portion of the basement that is actually usable(most of the house is quite old and the basement has mostly short ceilings).

Harbor Freight Hercules 12" sliding dual bevel compound miter saw- used my 25% off coupon on this "top of the line" miter saw. This should be a great upgrade from my current miter saw that doesn't even cut straight lol. Bought with my Chase Freedom unlimited so I get an extra 1 year of warranty.

Almost forgot .... I had to buy one from AAA over the weekend.

Cost $191 including tax which I swear is nearly twice as much as the last time I needed one.
Mine won't cost quite that much but will cost 60% or so more than last time, which was Walmart. But Walmart has shown replacement battery OOS for the last year and I'm tired of waiting, so figure to hit local auto supply store soon. I'm keeping my 8 YO battery functioning by keeping a trickle charger on it. Won't feel confident being adventurous with the car until I get a new battery.

Lead acid batteries do seem to have gone up in price quite a bit over the years. Especially gel cells. Needed small 7.2ah batteries for a UPS and it came up to like $60. Still cheaper than buying straight from APC though.

I’ve been back and forth on buying a lithium battery for my track/hpde car. It’s more like $700 for a 40Ah capacity, but should last a decade or potentially much longer. And dropping 40 pounds off the car is a huge deal and much more expensive to do with carbon fiber parts etc.
