That's not an oil bath air cleaner. That's ricer snake oil. An oil bath cleaner pulls the air through oil like a bong, and the oil traps particulates. That's how real VWs worked. You bought 4qt of oil, 3.5 went in the motor, and the other .5 went in the air cleaner.

I worked as a heavy equipment service oiler several times, mostly during my apprenticeship. Lots of older heavy equipment had oil bath air cleaners. Not really all that efficient...but slightly better than no air cleaner...and the bath is a real PITA to clean out. (Yes, you're SUPPOSED to dump the old dirty oil and clean the bath, then replace it with clean oil periodically)

Today I bought...

a Dewalt DW756 bench grinder for $35 in nearly brand new condition. Don't really NEED one, other than for annually (or more frequently if I fuck up) sharpening my lawnmower blade, but the price was just too good to pass up.
I've tried to sharpen the damned twin Honda blades with my Dremel...mediocre at best...and with my 4-1/2" angle grinder...again, not really the right tool for the job.

Ah, let's see...

On Feb. 23rd I ordered a couple dozen garment covers for shirts, finally came yesterday (they weren't supposed to be OOS, but for whatever reason, they were delayed. Amazon asked me if I still wanted them, I go YES, and they finally came... but I'm not touching the box with my hands until it sits around a while and the spores die)

I ordered coffee filters and zinc drops off Amazon the other day... again, this will take a while.

Bought nonfat dry milk off Amazon, Walmart was OOS. That's sitting too a while.

Bunch of other stuff off Amazon and Ebay

A can of Spaghetti-o's with hot dogs. The REAL cuisine of Italy.
In my early teens, maybe a bit before, a boy my age in the neighborhood somehow got me jealous of his Franco American canned spaghetti. I pestered my mom and got her to buy me a case of those cans (that was not like me at all, and I never did that again). It was spaghetti in a bland tomato sauce, no meat, no noteworthy seasoning. IIRC I didn't get close to finishing that case. I got super sick of it really fast, decided it was horrible.

I thought it was a dog???? oh..I get bit she not a German Shepherd or a Poodle but she is a Keeper!! Has she been recognized by the AKC as a new dog breed -- Keeper?

For those that don't see the file tag, she's an English Springer Spaniel of unusual coloring. Most tricolors are black, white and tan, but she's a "dilute" tricolor being darker brown, white and tan (more orangeish) with hazel eyes.

You were supposed to use peroxide on disinfection, not bleaching your dog!
