The "I don't care about Harry Potter" Support Group Thread

MotionMan

Lifer
I have seen one Harry Potter movie (at least most of it, I think). I believe it was the second one and it was playing on TV while we were visiting friends many years ago.

I kinda want to care about Harry Potter, but I really don't.

Am I the only person in the world like this (other than my wife and kids, I guess, because they also don't really care about it)?

What is so great about Harry Potter?

Haven't seen a single Harry Potter movie either. And only saw half of the first Lord of the Rings movie. Can't stand fantasy movies.

I actually like many fantasy movies.

I have not seen any of the LotR movies, either.

Never read the books and never saw any of the movies except for deathly hallows pt 1.
Noticed the wands. WTF? That is so friggin gay. Use the hands. Use the god damn hands like they do in LoTR.

I'm TridenT and I have seen most of the HP movies. After the 2nd movie, it became terrible on a whole new level. I read the books and that is partially what makes it so bad.

I've watched the whole first one and bits of a couple of others on television. Never read the books.

I've seen HP3-7 since my GF likes them, but I've never been able to grasp what's so special about HP or the mighty wizards. It's always "Oh, no we're fvcked......." and then they stumble upon some random spell that saves them all.

Why do normal unaffected people need a support group? Sounds like an AA meeting for people who don't drink.

Hi, I'm Whoozyer. It's been about three days since my last drink and it was delicious. Kona Fire Rock. Guys have any suggestions on what to try next? 😛

I've seen parts of a couple HP movies when they were on HBO but I couldn't tell you which ones. And I don't really remember what happened. Nor do I care. I've never read a HP book.

My brother on the other hand... Meh... not so sure about that guy. Loves HP... Lives with 4 cats. Likes to drink Malibu and Mountain Dew. Yeah... not sure about that guy.

I've seen one, a ealier one. It seemed meh at best. I have no desire to spend money to watch them thats for sure.

Oh no... Adults (at least mostly adults) complaining they've never seen movies designed for teenagers.

Where's the Twilight support group post?

I play WoW, a lot. Yet I haven't seen or have any interest in Harry Potter, Twilight, or the like. Star Wars or Star Trek either, for that matter.

I've seen all of them and I've read the first four books, they are good films definitely worth getting into, I recommend giving them a go.

I've seen a couple of them, bought my wife 1-7a on blu-ray, and I took her to the new one last Friday. Nevertheless, I don't really like them. I'll admit that the film's settings and cinematography are well done, but I get bored watching them and usually fall asleep or move on to something else.

haven't seen any of the movies or read the books

hogwarts is some wizard school
snape kills dumbledore
dumbledore is gay
