sorry, no. it all interrelates with the religion, with generations of converts still being considered 'jewish' from an ethnicity standpoint.

'jew' is a race as much as 'american' is.

I didn't say it's a race. It's an ethnicity. Apparently you don't know the difference, which is probably the source of your confusion.

I'm not agreeing with you. The ethnicity is related to the religion, but your original statement that people who don't practice the religion are not Jews is false. There are ethnic Jews who do not practice the religion.
