i dont care if people eat dogs, just not mine. just as i do not care if they eat cows or chickens, provided those also are not my pets 🙂
 
I have had chickens as pets. And I did later eat them. Best chicken I've ever had. 4H/FFA raised animals make some of the best tasting meat out there because the animals are meticulously cared for in a way that cannot be done on a large scale.

...where's the hypocracy?

PETA's sole mission is to support a vegan lifestyle. They do NOT "fight to protect every living thing" as jumpr asserted.
PETA does not believe that any animal should be kept in captivity or used by humans.
I was told directly by one of their idiot regional directors (Franklin Wade) that their "official position" on solving the "oppression of animals", as they see it, is to "set them all free and let it sort itself out".
Read their fvckin mission statement for Christ's sake.
 
Question: since PETA supports a vegan lifestyle, do they support using modern agricultural methods to produce food? i.e. Are the farmers allowed to kill all the insects so the corn can be eaten by PETA instead of insects?

No, it's not hypocrisy.

If you listened to PETA, you would not be allowed to own a dog or any pet for that matter. Treating your pets and other animals nicely does not mean you like Peta or agree with their views. I own pets, I treat most animals nicely, but I still eat meat. Peta would completely disagree with my choices. Peta is an organisation filled with loony idiots.

I hate PETA, but I also dislike the MIStreatment of dogs.

However, the dissection was NOT mistreatment. The dog was going to be euthanized anyhow, and was fully sedated. At least his death wasn't useless.

I dislike extremists of any type. And PETA goes above and beyond extremism in their silly activism.

it just amuses me how many people go off on the practice of eating dogs (shoot i'm a vegetarian myself so i wouldn't eat dogs or cows)

i can understand hating PETA for their extremism. but hating people that eat dogs to the same extent you hate PETA is pretty stupid, if not hypocritical.

By and large i agree with you regarding both PETA and the dog vivisection. i had no problems with it.

all these people that come out of the woodwork when they perceive any dog being in any type of pain and going off are who annoy me.
