rita created some unusual heat effects here in austin, pushing us 10 degrees over the record high. other than that it was nice and sunny here in austin, and no rain.
 
Houston feels a few degree's below normal and clear skies. Feels better than usual here. :thumbsup: Except for humidity at night...

I'm sure they are but there are apparently many areas of SE TX that have no power and won't for weeks on-end.
 
Beaumont was hit hard. A friend of mine lives there. He's back at work but is living onsite. The city is without utilities. His family is staying with friends several hours away.

Yes...definitely waiting for that cold front. Forecasts are changing from 105/75 for the last few days to 78/59 here in College Station tomorrow. 😀
