The Humble Indie Bundle

Just found this posted on another forum. Pretty nice selection of indie titles as a pay-what-you-want bundle.

The Humble Indie Bundle is a unique kind of bundle that we are trying out.

Pay what you want. If you bought these five games separately, it would cost around $80 but we're letting you set the price!

All of the games work great on Mac, Windows, and Linux. We didn't want to leave anyone out.

There is no middle-man. You can rest assured that 100% of your purchase goes directly to the developers and non-profits as you specify (minus credit card fees).

We don't use DRM. When you buy these games, they are yours. Feel free to play them without an internet connection, back them up, and install them on all of your Macs and PCs freely.

The bundle includes:

* World of Goo
* Aquaria
* Gish
* Lugaru HD
* Penumbra Overture

Profits go to the EFF and Child's Play. The promotion lasts this week only.

Just came here to post this, you beat me to the punch.

It bears repeating, NO DRM and the games work on Linux, Mac, and Windows.

And everybody is going to call me an asshole when I pay $1. So I'll pay $0.99. 🙂
I really paid $5.

I paid $10. Seemed reasonable at the time since I'm really only interested in two of the titles and already own two. It's great when you can make that kind of decision when purchasing a product. I really hope they do well with this promo as I think good indie games like the ones here definitely deserve attention.

I like how they show you the current average price. Nice way to keep people's consciences in check. Too bad I'm a cheap ass bastard anyway.

I'm not sure how exactly the Penumbra pack thing works... when I go to the Penumbra page I see that apparently there are three titles. There's also a notice in the top right that says if I bought the humble indie pack I can get all the Penumbra games for $5.
Awesome, but... how? On the store page when I order it's $20 and I can enter a coupon code. My e-mail that I got from the indie pack purchase does not contain any coupon code.

Anybody here know?

I'm missing something, after you pay, how do you actually download the games?
do I need to wait for some email with a link or something? Nothing so far.

did, nothing there (well, plenty there actually)

I used a different email address for paypal vs my order, I wonder if that's what's tripping them up.

No, that's not it. I did the same and I got my e-mail with the link.
That link btw contains your "key" so that's how the download stuff works.

To answer my own question:
The coupon is included during the installation process and in a text file that comes with the game!

Thanks, paid 10 even though I had WOG and Gish. I like that I can get the linux versions for the netbook. I can install them on all my machines right?
