So I went with some friends tonight to see The Hulk, expecting the absolute worst....considering what I had read online (including these forums) I almost didn't want to go.
Man am I glad I did.
And I am not remorsefull in the least bit about that $8 being spent....
All of you hyper-retarded people who keep bashing this movie, let me hit on a few key complaints of yours:
The CGI looked cheesy - Um, did you actually WATCH the movie? Or did you download that workprint online and take THAT as final quality? That was some d@mned fine CGI if you ask me!
It went on too long - Adjust your ritalin dosage. I for one like a movie that doesn't feel like it's over in 45 minutes. And yes, the first bit is kinda slow, but so was Spider-Man, and X-Men, and Daredevil, its the first movie, they HAVE to do some setup, and I thought they did a fine job. Without a proper setup there would be no reason for anyone NOT to cheer for his destruction.
The plot sucked - I'm sorry this wasn't the deep plot of family lost and time gone by that you were hoping for, or a gritty tale of police corruption in the inner city. But the plot was there, if you didn't like the comic, you won't like the movies plot, simple as that.
I guess I'm just trying to say that all of the people out there who feel like I felt, worried it was going to be another "Mario Brothers" quality conversion, give the movie a shot, I was very pleasantly suprised.
