I live in Michigan and we can't park on most streets. The streets you can park on are mostly odd/even parking most of the year.

I feel for your situation but the language barrier shouldn't be an issue if a lawyer or realtor were involved in the purchase. The thing you have to do is live in the solution. Your only solution right now would be to park on a public street that does allow parking or learn to make due with one car. Do any of your neighbors have a double garage that they would rent a space to you in?

Try to find a solution that works for you, don't dwell on the problem.

Chances are your neighbors have had to deal with this situation before. Talk to them and see if they have any input. People on here are just going to flame your parents. It doesn't matter who's fault your situation is, what matters is how to fix it.
