Adding 140 P3-600s to the herd. will crack M-F 10 hours or so.....

Can I get a woohoo moomoo?

That is a definite wooooooomooooooo.

Have you blocked OGR or will they be "free range crackers?"

MOOOOHOOOOWWWWWWWOOOOOHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEY! SWEET!!!!

Off the top of my head, if you pull it off you should get in the 35,000 block per day range from that.... I believe that would get you well over 100 Mk/s!!!

GOOD WORK!

Joe

I saw a phrase used by NFS4 on the Off Topic forum that seems appropriate here... Sonofacrackhead!!

That's awesome--can't wait to see those blocks (or stubs, or whatever) come rolling in! 😀

Ob1,
No you cannot get a woohoo moomoo from me.

You can get a WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO MOOOOOOOOOOMOOOOOOOOOOO from me though! 😀

Nice assimilation there. 😀

along those lines, I'm working on a proposal to add some servers and workstations for work:

Servers:
1 Dual 700Mhz Xeon
3 Dual 733Mhz PIII
1 Dual 800Mhz PIII

Workstations:
2 733Mhz PIII
2 600Mhz (600E) PIII
1 750Mhz PIII

NT4.0, SCSI HD and will not be part of the monitored network, so I can run 24x7.

It hasn't been approved yet, so we will see.

Plus I am working on trying to get the PCs and laptops (gotta love that pause on battery feature) upgraded to something faster. The fastest PC we have is a 266mhz laptop. 15 PCs and 16 laptops to be upgraded.

Nothing near the power of your 140 PIII 600s though. /me goes to find a drool bucket, as the bib won't do. 😉

May the force be with you OB1😀

Not looking for a mini-team are you?😉 (with that herd you're just about one by yourself!)😀

ob1, NICE!!! I wish the company I worked for would wake up to technology like that. We've got 3) P2 233MHz laptops, P3 450MHz desktop & an aging Gateway P5-75MHz. The only machine I could assimilate is the P3 450, and it took a 32 page letter/fact sheet to get our IT admin to approve it. 🙂

I read this thread, and keep thinking everyone is talking about me 🙂
anyway,

Thats GREAT OB1. Have you ever thought about helping out a team in real need, since we just lost our #1 producer (on and off #1) to OGR.

SETI?
If they are running WinNT or 2000, I can help you install as a service very quick and easy...

man you guys are crazy, thats a lot of blocks, i am having trouble averaging about 1k a day!

But i work in a huge company, we have about 20 quad PIII Xeons, plus a whole bunch of VAX machines (dnet client for VAX??) and i have never even asked my boss to put RC5 on them, they are so uptight about thier servers. besides those there are about 500 or so work stations that are all PIII 700e's and other print/file/email servers scattered all over the building. Im still kind of new at this job, the last place i was at only had a few servers, and they didnt care what i did with them. but maybe after ive been at this new place a while i will conjure up a proposal.

I have dreams where I could install RC5 on the computers at my work, we have 400+ servers that would skyrocket my rate. The only problem is they are web servers, most of which are dedicated and colocated. But except for 10-20 pentiums and ppros they are all pentium 2's 300 and up, lots of dual p3 500's, some 600's. mmmm
