The Happening

Welcome to 3 months ago, oh the agony the pain. What a hellacious piece of trailer park shit this movie was.
 
M Night Shamalamadingdong is going down the tubes... Based on what I was seeing in the first trailers that I saw, it looked like a concept that was pretty interesting. However, from the reviews it looks like he's lost the ability to execute on that vision.

I just watched Signs the other day. It was mildly interesting until the aliens revealed themselves, at which point it just got stupid.

What the hell were they doing on a planet where the very substance that kills them falls from the sky? They can travel over vast distances of space but not have waterproof suits. BULLSHIT! It really seems like his movies are based on such a cool idea and then just turn into crap at the end. Sixth Sense and Unbreakable are the only ones that I felt were really good the whole way through.

Yep, M. Night Schmuck's movies are just spiraling down into the abyss. Every movie is worse the the previous one. I can only think that the next movie he makes will cause spontaneous vomiting in the audience.

Yeah, the first AvP came on FX during work the other day and one of my guys here said "This movie rocks." (Keep in mind he calls himself a movie buff).

I said "You mean the second one, right? Not this one, this is the first one."

He says "Yeah, I know this is the first one....that's what I meant."

I lost what little respect I had left for him.

The Village already covered that. We're at the point where the only way he can get worse is to have audience members heads exploding during the opening credits.

The sad part is that the movie made a ton of money despite being a huge pile of excrement. So the studios will let him try it again.
 
I personally thought that John Leguizamo did a great job in The Happening. It is just unfortunate that it sucked so bad. I mean the Bermuda Depths was a better movie, and it had Carl Weathers.

You're joking right? Even actors that are good in other movies were downright horrible in this movie. Who was the male lead? Can't remember his name but he is an OK actor in other movies, in this one I wanted to tear his eyes out.

Compared to the other actors in The Happening, Leguizamo did a great job. That is just my opinion though.

Agreed, I haven't even seen The Happening... or Lady in the Water or The Village as they all apparently suck that bad.

I would mention it if not for the fact that probably the only funny joke in Scary Movie III is about how the aliens can travel across space but not figure out how to open doors.
