I just can't stop thinking about the capitol police, the guys who really took the brunt of this cult 4 years ago today. They were betrayed worse than the voters.

Trump and his cult are going to give January 6th the CCP's Tiananmen Square treatment, effective 1/21/25.

He needs to wear it around his neck until the day he dies.

I guess this thread is now well-and-truly done. 132 pages of wasted effort.

I guess Trump's storm troopers are back to standing down and standing by.

It seems to me that Trump is giving his jailed attack dogs a new lease on life, deepening their loyalty to him, of which he's transformed them into zealots that is a real time equivalent of Hitler's paramilitary Schutzstaffel (SS), a segment of which became Hitler's elite Waffen SS shock troops. And seeing as if there's thousands upon thousands of our military personnel from top to bottom of the chain of command that pledge their loyalty to Trump, it's not a far fetched leap of logic to imagine how easy it would be for them to form up a discrete unit that would be pre-positioned to assist Trump in his effort to accomplish his wish of having all branches of the military under his direct control.

Methinks we are at an event horizon that portends an epic battle for the soul of the nation, for Democracy to die a tragic death at the hands of Trump, his oligarch henchmen and the millions of brain dead Trumpers who think having their very own dictator is the best thing that could ever happen to them simply because THEY think THEY would be in control of the nation......as if...

Promise to get rid of violent people from the streets, releases 1500 convicted violent people to the streets...

There's just so much contradiction and hypocrisy in the Republican party, all of it shameless, defiant and arrogantly pushed, all wrapped in pretty papered gifts of disinformation, outright lies and hoax conspiracy theories.

Most of it is inspired by Trump and his effort to seek revenge on his tormentors and his goal to prop up a dynastic authoritarian regime, the rest of it caused by the party's leadership having a problem dealing with their agenda being in stark contrast to the empty promises their working class low information voters are being spoon fed with apparent delight.

My faith in humanity is at an all time fucking low. Insurrection and trying to overthrow the government is A-OK as long as it's to fuck the libtards.

1,500 insurrectionist criminals pardoned and back on the streets. I'm sure some of them will likely to seek retribution on those they know who turned them in or testified against them.

Fraternal Order of Police: "We don't have a comment."

So Trump has a corps of orange shirts now. They will now act with relative impunity, especially if we have the extreme misfortune of the FBI being led by an unqualified, QAnon loving, hyper partisan douchebag like Kash Patel.

My guess is we haven't seen anything yet when it comes to stochastic terror and political violence.

I have a comment. Congratulations FOP. You got exactly what you wanted. A bunch of people who assaulted police officers back on the street, free to do it all over again. I've generally pro-police, but FOP, go fuck yourselves.

As a note, I have donated to the FOP when they have had fundraisers in the past. They are never getting another fucking penny from me ever again. I'll burn the fucking dollar before I give it to the FOP ever again.

I’m seriously considering buying guns for the first time in my life. I know there was a movement amongst some on the left to start buying guns. Is probably suggest anyone that doesn’t have personal protection and aren’t on the right should probably go buy some just to be on the safe side.

Could have sworn that Steward Rhodes ("Oath Keeper" guy released via the pardon) was the name of a villain in a Die Hard movie.

Checking with IMDB I guess I was thinking of "Colonel Stuart" the baddie from Die Hard 2. Maybe crossed with arch imperialist Cecil Rhodes (are they related?).

Trump calls Biden's pardons 'disgraceful.' The asshole who sells them then turns right around and pardons the creator of Silk Road.

Hilarious.

Yes, you probably should. Get a .22 and start practicing before bothering with something bigger.
