Fuck that shit, treason is not forgivable. That's the problem with our society today, kids never suffer any consequences for bad behavior, parents just brush it off as "it's just a phase" so similar.
I hope you realize that when I said it was a perfect time for Biden to act on his intention to be President for all Americans, I was referring to an opportunity to do so but which I am against.

However, unlike you, I think, it has nothing to do with what supposedly can’t be forgiven. Everything must be forgiven to know any true happiness, in my opinion and that includes treason. Probably you believe that people choose to be evil whereas I do not believe that in the way you mean by choice.

People choose evil because they have to, not because they want to. There is only perfection and no such thing as good and evil. We are forced as children to believe in evil which does not exist by being emotionally tortured to believe not only in it but also that we are it.

So you probably believe that people are guilty of things like treason but I do not. I believe that people will, however, do real evil because they became the lie that evil exists. I believe then that you destroy evil mercilessly and without compromise because the belief that evil exists is what makes it happen and that must not be allowed.

You simple destroy it by preventing it from happening. You simply act without implying guilt or feeling hate. And if atonement is promised you allow one chance to prove it. It is simply a duty we have to not allow people to turn their psychosis into harmful actions. Probably the only feeling one might have is revulsion that one is called to act. The world is full of deluded but guiltless people and it is painfully sad to see.

Rage and acts of revenge are ways we try not to feel the burden of being consciously awake.

DOJ says they aren't charging any of the speakers at the Trump rally that started the riot. 12 days.

Sophomoric drivel.

Some few people might be in dire straights, and need to steal to eat. But these people chose to go out of their way, with many traveling across multiple states, to attack the Capitol. There was no NEED to do that. They just wanted to do that.

Certainly it's sad, that they are deluded morons, and maybe we can work on some forgiveness when their prison sentence is up, and if the psych report indicates they have come back to reality.

Based on that fat fucks waddle I'm sure his co-workers can easily identify him. Fire his ass, and revoke his law enforcement certifications so he can never be a cop again.
I assumed their would be a few of those idiots. GD civil service laws will protect his sorry ass for quite a while before he's finally let go.

So you can be happy forgiving treasonous acts? That is where we differ. True it's not firing squad level of treason, but to pat them on the head and send them on their way is giving a muted approval to their actions. These are not people that were touring the sights at our nations capital and got caught up in the moment. They made a deliberate decision to travel to DC, probably taking days off, laying out of work, etc., for one purpose, to overthrow the will of the people. FUCK THEM!

Seeing that karma is biting them in the ass with criminal charges to being fired from their jobs is what puts a grin on my face. Beyond that, they are just background noise to ignore, it's not like forgiving someone that has killed a love one or similar personal impact.

Probably true, put let's identify him, so his friends and neighbors know he is a treasonous asshole. Promotions, friendly waves from neighbors, friendly greetings at the local watering hole, etc., won't be part of his future.

Given that DoJ will undergo a massive personnel turnover in two weeks, I think that decision is not the final word on the matter.

Biden has repeatedly said he doesn't support going after Trump. I don't expect that to change any time soon.

I wouldn't be surprised, though, if a lot of Federal evidence ends up getting in the hands of various state prosecutors, though.

If he hates the government so much, perhaps he should forego his government paycheck.

Is it true that a Trump EO signed during BLM includes a mandatory minimum of 10 year sentence for anyone caught defacing federal property (I.e. tearing down statues OR smashing Capitol windows, removing flags, stealing portraits, breaking down doors etc.) Lets see how DoJ handles charges over the next few weeks.

Time to find out whether mandatory minimums are colorblind or not...)

I don't know. One of Trump's gifts to us was to make it easier to fire Federal employees.

He admitted to participating in the riot inside the building but said he was pushed into the building when the mob broke through the doors.

Oh, well then; I guess that changes everything. You're free to go.
All the way from Arkansas? Yea... right!

But then Trump could take a sharpie to a map and show how that was very probable.

No, they'd probably do that once they find out who he is.

This is why Trump loves uneducated dumbasses.

“Wow, what an absolute punch in the gut,” one post with more than 100 upvotes said. “He says it’s going to be wild, and when it gets wild, he calls it a heinous attack and middle fingers his supporters that he told to be there. Unbelievable.”

Der...

Everyone and their emotional support gerbils could have told them it would end this way.

He has not said this - he has said he would leave it up to the attorney general, which is exactly the correct response.

This is the jet girl, isn't it?

Yeah.

She said that "unbeknownst to her, individuals with Antifa broke through barriers and assaulted police officers before she arrived."

I guess she then proceeded to put on her "Super Trump" cape to bounce around taking selfies to document her efforts to heroically save the day.

Honestly, I hope her roommate Big Bertha in the big house is a biter.

It's a perfect moment for Biden to gesture his commitment to all Americans by showing forgiveness.. Sorry, but I really feel that liberals, generally speaking, do not know how to deal with evil, that is to say, mercilessly and without compromise, and with but one opportunity to reform. The empathy awaken to compassion best comprehended when the shoe is on the other foot and it is the self that is suffering the pain one formerly and callously wished on others.
This...is sarcastic, right?

Fuck that. I don't go in for labels for myself or anyone else, but I am an Environmentalist to some degree...and if these were tree-hugging hippies breaking in to protest the use of so much wood in the Capitol I'd be saying the same exact thing. You don't breaking in--armed in some cases--to the place where Congress meets when Congress is meeting. As far as I'm concerned, anyone doing so--BLM, antifa, Santa Clause, these Coup Klux Klan members, anybody--should rightly have been repelled by force before getting inside. I'm pretty anti-cop but this is pretty damn far from harassing some dude on the street--a mob is a dangerous thing, and a large mob broke in with various degrees of bad intent. People in a mob do things that they wouldn't do otherwise.

What if these were a Chinese/Iranian/<insert bad guy> army platoon? Do we still let them waltz in to where Congress is meeting and say, ah well no harm no foul!

They should have the damn book thrown at them. And again, if this was some liberal mob protesting Trump's 2016 win--which I do think was Russian-aided--I'd be saying the same thing. Lock them the hell up, you can't go taking over the most important building in the country.

My only wish is if Trump gets off scot-free that a large chunk of these idiots get their eyes opened to how he uses everyone and then throws them under a bus. He always has someone else do his dirty work and then he walks away clean. It will be glorious day when they see it first hand but I'm afraid if they haven't seen his standard M.O. by now they never will.

There's also DC state law . The DC state attorney has expressed they are looking into charging him
