They're Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! After a hiatus of more than two years (not counting a wedding gig here and there) Phish will return to the stage for three sets of music on New Year's Eve 2002 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The inverted New Year's Run will continue at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia on January 2, 3, & 4, 2003. Additional tour dates are in the works for 2003. See our Tour Page for full details, including ticket information.

This proves just how much Phish is a Dead wannabe band. The Dead come back, and suddenly so does Phish.

Have you guys ever seen Phish live? Probably not. I saw Trey in concert recently (San Diego State), and it freakin' rocked. I've never thought of Phish as The Greatful Dead "2" or anything like that. When they took their "break" it was never meant to be permanent. Those guys travelled continuously for like a decade; I think anyone would want a break now and then ;)

Phish is a great jam band. Lots of fun. Lots of little trendy punks who don't know anything about music and are just there for the scene..but that's ok. I live 30 minutes from Hampton and can't wait. 3 friggin nights of Phish...OH YEAHHHH!!!! Any thoughts on a first song....I am calling either Split open and melt or Punch you in the eye.

Phish are a really fun band. I'm glad to see they're back from hiatus. Now if they'd only schedule a show nearby I'll be all set.

Sweet, I can't wait to see them. They've got some bad ass musicians. Way better than the dead could over hope for. Good news.

What good news. Just when I almost forgot about the hiatus, it's over. Hope I can snag some tickets to the Garden.

Hey, no reason to insult the Grateful Dead. They were a fine band for many years....Phish would be lucky to even aproach their track record.

I will be seeing Phish as soon as possible though.

yeee!!!!! i won't make nye, but mebber if they schedule one near st. louis, i could mebbe make a chicago show . ..

WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the thing that really sets phish apart is that each and every member could make a living as a 'working' musician. very very few od the radio bands, the heavy metal, the industrial, the pop, the rap, or the gothic bands could make a living as a working musician. I mean, to be a working musician you need to be good at your instrument. you hafta be able to play more than repetative patterns with high distortion or bass.

go phish!!!

speaking of which, who here likes moe.?

I'm not a Phish fan by any means, but at the urging of a friend, I downloadef their a capella version of "Freebird" and it is hilarious! They even do the guitar solo a capella! Awesome! They are cool in my book just for that little stunt.
