That's right, Nvidia has allegedly seen fit to introduce a GTX x30 card, probably to compete with the RX6400.

Expect to see these in tons of lower-end OEM PCs, also as replacement for the GTX 1050/ti. Expect 75W TDP or below slot-powered versions as well. No word yet if they will end up competing with the RX6400 in the single-slot LP market, but more competition is generally a Good Thing.

The 1630 is definitely faster than Alder Lake-S IGP.

That’s damning with faint praise in my book, but we are getting to the point where the IGP can play most games (not at levels where we would be OK but I think many just want it to work) and so adding a 1630 doesn’t really unlock that much for the super budget gamer in most new oem systems compared to what it would have done with 10th Gen and earlier Intel based systems. You know, where they added the near same GTX 1050

Still waiting for all of the reviewers that were so merciless to the RX budget cards, to disparage this overpriced joke. Every day that passes makes them look more like they are in Nvidia's pockets. What is the hold up otherwise?

HUB is awe struck with the card, but they recommend waiting a bit more for the DDR4 version that's bound to come up with even better value for money. Still, they say Nvidia managed to deliver the impossible to budget gamers, which is to make 6400/6500XT look like great value cards.

The old 1050 vanilla outperforming it at times here -

UK Steve is misleading his legions of N00bs on a last remark though. He states the 2GB of ram doesn't really seem to make a difference on those old cards. There is a significant difference, in one area. More ram means you can set higher textures even with a lower quality preset, and enjoy better visuals without tanking performance.

Hopefully, this thing is a dust collector in retail form. It will be included in OEM systems of course. That was the only place I ever saw a RX550 IRL when running a busy break/fix.

Another 1630 curb stomping -

His somehow managing to not include the 6500XT in his testing was a little derp. He could have still drawn the same conclusion, as it hasn't moved the performance needle in the sub $200 market either.
