The Grudge versus Saw

I thought the Grudge was exceptionally boring. Very formulaic and predictable. Did not see Saw yet, but i really want to.

Grudge is a freaking terrible movie. There isnt really a point of the story, just random things popping up. Over and over again. Saw, is actually a decent movie for the first half. Afterwards it too becomes terrible. By the end, people in the crowd were laughing. Both are awful movies, but between the two Saw was better.

Ok, you clearly didn't understand the movie, or something. To say that there isn't a point and that random things just happen is pretty indictive of how much you understood. I thought the movie was ok. Far from great and far from terrible. Made me jump like once. Which is one more than most "scary" movies.

While I wouldn't say Grudge was uber, I thought it had it's fair share of creepy moments. Going to see Saw tomorrow night.

I think with horror movies, you pretty much just need to be in the mood and willing to enjoy it, as uber horror movies like Exorcist and Event Horizon seem to be relatively uncommon.

Devil's Backbone got good reviews at Rotten Tomatoes. Going to watch that tonight. The Eye got decent ones, but I did not think the movie was very good.

LOL the Grudge was kind of funny in how bad some of the plot was. It followed the formula of "The Ring" almost perfectly, plus most of it just didn't really make sense. There was that point where that guys sister got "vaccuumed" up into the ghost...WTFWTF!?

haven't seen saw, but that what we were trying to see when we saw grudge, it was just sold out ATM =/

The Grudge was ok, but I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to it.

I'll hopefully be seeing the saw on Sunday.
