The Grey (Liam Neeson movie with man-eating wolves)

Doppel

Lifer
This is a recent movie but not that well known apparently. It's on netflix now.

A dark movie. Not one for the kids but if you enjoy watching people desperately trying to flee to save themselves from a pack of wolves, you'll like this.

79% on RT.

Watched it. Hated it.

Hated it.

Hated it.

Surprisingly, I thought I was the only one.

Also there's a thread for movie talk.

It was alright. The ending was probably the best part.

I didn't like how ridiculous some aspects of it were (man eating wolves, jumping across the canyon).

I really liked it, but I'm kind of a sucker for man vs. wild stuff. I really liked that one way back when with Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin.

i started watching it and 20 min in i just couldnt take it anymore. started fast forwarding to the wolf eating man parts and couldnt find a single one. what a waste of time

I never watched it, but the trailers gave me the impression of "Liam Neeson kills everyone, then fights wolves with glass bottles."

I liked "The Edge" better but I still thought "The Gray" was a good movie. Liam is boss. Did you see the scene after the credits?

It was so-so. Definitely watchable, but I was hoping for something a bit different. If it had been a bit more about realistic survival and less about action and punching wolves in the face, I think it would have been a lot better.

CRAP! No 🙁

EDIT: just checked. i see nothing after credits on netflix...
Really? I know there's a scene afterwards, and I thought it was on the Netflix version. Well it's only a couple seconds, you can read what it shows on Wikipedia if you'd like.

Saw it, hated it.
Constant disappointment, everyone dies one after the other. I don't like movies with unhappy endings, I just couldn't stand failure after failure as each member of the group was killed off. If I want a series of unending failures, I'll live my life, not watch a movie.

The Edge, which this completely ripped off, is much more realistic and thought out, with much better character development. Although it did have a couple 90s cliches, it was better than the terrible CGI that was The Grey. It is a good watch for free on Netflix, but please don't pay to see it.
