There are 2:00 left in the superbowl. Your team is down by 6 points. The ball is on your own 5 yard line. You can pick any quarterback to win the game for you. Who do you choose?

If this isn't a landslide, I weep for our future... :(

:p

4 rings = montana. If Brady (and prolly will, NEXT YEAR when everyone's back and healthy) wins a 4th AND a 5th, he should take the cake.

Can we at least take off the names of all those who've never won a Superbowl?

I don't think you can be considered "The Greatest QB Ever" without having won at least one Superbowl. In fact, I'm sure of it.

It's between Unitas and Montana. Thousands of bar fights have erupted through the years over this very question.

Their lack of votes will take care of that.

Anyway, if I did that, I'd have to take off Brady. If the list doen't have Marino on it, it sure as hell ain't gonna have Brady on it.

A quick Google search revealed Elway had 46 come-from-behind 4th quarter victories in his career versus Montana's 31. Disregarding the number of Super Bowl rings for each and the importance of the game, then my vote is for Elway.

I voted for Montana personally. I don't think Brady is quite there yet. Marino sure as hell wasn't.

Now, if the poll was who was the greatest QB to NEVER win the Superbowl then I'd vote for Marino.

Besides, Tom Brady=3 Superbowl rings. Dan Marino=0 Superbowl rings. I don't care about career records. The whole point of playing professional football is to win the Superbowl. If you haven't won it then you aren't the greatest. That's all.

Elway is certainly the dark horse in this race for that reason. Too bad he looks like a horse...

Where's Steve Young? That guy could always make things happen and he could run the ball almost like any RB in the league as well. I guess he might not be in the list of "Best of All-Time," but he'd be one of my choices in just such a situation.

Doh - was supposed to be there...

edit: after all he does hold the record for career passer rating...

Obviously it's Montana. It's like asking a similar question about basketball - picking anything but Michael Jordan or Reggie Miller is just silly.

With 2 minutes left you need someone who can make "The Drive" :D

Elway baby.

Montana was in during the stale years, the 49er conference was always and still is a complete joke. Try getting to a bowl all in 1 peice with the Raiders, Chargers and Chiefs at your throat. The NFC east has a tough road too.

You're shocked at that? I think most people would agree with me...
