Congrats!

Early Acceptance/Early Decision is always nice. I remember 12/15 was my MIT EA notification time. I had to go on vacation by the 19th and still no mail. I remember everyone on forums was discussing who would get it first.. the deferrals or the acceptances. Given that it's under 500 acceptances which is usually the case, there's no need for presorted first class so a delay meant there was a good chance that people would get the acceptance.... Well mine came in late and I got deferred.
 
congratulations! it's this time of year again, I suppose. hehe, I got a similar letter a year ago too, and it has been bloody awesome!

Congratulations! Definitely visit the campus first though. I was in your position about 6 years ago. 🙂
 
Woah. Colleges send Admission notices through e-mail? Damn, I think that kind of takes away the impact of actually having the admission letter physically in your hand.

i got defered from stanford yesterday... i almost wish they just rejected me instead of making me wait another 4 months... *sigh*

I'm probably going to study either Biology, Chemistry, or Biomedical Engineering (BME). I won't find out about the BME decision until next week, though (when the package arrives via priority mail). Hopkins BME is notoriously hard to get into since they only accept about 100 kids a year...but hopefully it'll work out.
