Does that saw come in Ryobi One+ 18v version?

I feel you would get the blade about half way through and need to charge the battery. 😛

All the sub $50 ones vanished. The home depot with 12 listed as in stock? Zero. The Lowes with 11? None to be found. Another home depot with 5 listed? Nope. Several other stores nearby list "out of stock"

Ghosts? Maybe. Sophisticated thievery ring? Perhaps.
I've never found any correlation between Home Depots listed inventory and what's actually at the store.

How's he supposed to cut the wood?

Like a man one hand holding the 2 x 4 the other cutting. I gotta cut 2 x 4s for framing lights, strapping duct work and such pretty regularly, always use a sawzall free hand. New kid last year, I'm in a crawl space hey go cut me such and such 2 x 4, how do I do that? with the goddamn sawzall what else. He comes back here you go, do you have a first aid kit I cut myself, son bitch bled all over the thing and he cut it the wrong size. Didn't know it was that hard to cut a 2 x 4.

i expected an elaborate diagram in the OP

2x4 isn't a problem. I'm trying to make custom faceplates for my AV stuff in the home theater and need a better work space than what I have now

Do you not own a circular saw? I mean their main purpose is cutting 2x4s.... I'm not saying a sawzall wont do the job but it seems kind of strange to use one for that.

harbor freights version of the jaw horse looks good. try that? sounds like you need a workbench and some clamps, not a saw horse.

Madison Heights Lowes: Bought some junk online, waited three days, got a call (VM) "ummm I picked most of your stuff but XX and XY are out of stock", Called back for 30 minutes no answer, decided to go there, stand in a line for 20 minutes, get to talk to someone, "we didn't pick nothing", go and get the instock stuff myself. FML

I have noticed this with Target and somewhere else I forgot about.
I suspect with the various lockdowns and extra virus prevention processes, plus stock balancing that must be happening. Everyone’s inventory management is screwed up and won’t be correct until there is a full audit.

I do own a circular saw just not worth dragging in to every house I need to cut a couple pieces of 2 x 4 in. The sawzall is already in the house cuz I use it for other things too. My sawzall is a milwaukee hackzall which is definately easier to rip 2 x 4s with than a standard sawzall. When the framers got a chop saw set up I use that.
