The Great Hot Dog Debate

With the previous Great Hot Dog Debate thread, what toppings do you go for on your hot dogs?

I almost exclusively use ketchup. Occasionally do mustard only or combine mustard and ketchup. Never use any else.

Edit:
Updated poll.

Up here in New England the classic dog is mustard, relish, raw onions and sauerkraut. Love it.

I also like the NYC/Coney Island style dog with mustard, the red onion sauce and kraut.

And the classic chili dog with raw onion is always good.

Any of those three combos is fine with me.

As said in the other thread.. Mustard, onions, neon green relish, dill pickle spear, tomato wedges, sport peppers, and celery salt.

MUSTARD is a yes
Relish most of the time

sauerkraut and onion and etc is dependent on the type of dog

K.I.S.S.

No more than 3 condiments/toppings or you might as well just eat a bowl of condiments.

Ketchup + mustard + relish is a classic

Chili + cheese is also good

i love chili+cheese

also sourkrout is good

but you can't go wrong with the classic of ketchup and mustard.

The Chicago Dog, perfection in a poppyseed bun:
Steamed poppy seed hot dog bun
All Beef hot dog (steamed or charred) (Preferably Vienna Beef)
Yellow mustard (Preferably French's) Never brown
Chopped white onion (raw)
Neon Green Relish (Preferably Rolf's) (not for me)
Sport peppers (Preferably Alpe Dell's)
Tomato wedges (not for me)
Crisp kosher dill pickle spear
Celery salt

Ketchup, almost always. Mustard (like honey mustard most), half the time. Everything else, depends on how many dogs I'm eating, what's available, etc. I'm ok with any/all of the the toppings in the poll. Usually not all at once - I don't like drowning hot dogs. If I want a billion elements, I make a coldcut sandwich instead.

Chili, Cheese, Onions, Mustard

Diced Tomatoes and lettuce(in addition to the stuff above) if I'm at Pinks of Hollywood

Ketchup + Mustard as a last resort if the above aren't available but honestly a naked dog and bun is good enough on its own provided its a quality dog.

I like the chicago style dog, although sometimes the sport peppers are too chewy and I end up getting annoyed by them.

This...although I don't always do the tomato wedges

If you've got a nice hotdog from like a butcher or a good vendor my faves in order are:

Dog with spicy brown mustard and kraut

followed by

Chili dog with cheese, onions and just a touch of sour cream.

then any dog with a combo of the other toppings (ketchup, mustard, relish, banana peppers or any pickled peppers available.. blah blah)

Ketchup, mustard, onions. Never anything else. Except of course a chili-cheese coney (mustard, onions, chili, cheese).
