The Great Hot Dog Debate.

techs

Lifer
I can't wait for spring. It's time to begin the debate!
What's the best brand of Hot Dog?
What's the best way to prepare your prized dogs?

Hebrew National supposedly wins taste tests every year but nothing is better than a good ole Oscar Meyer over a campfire in my book.

Ballpark Fat Free hotdogs taste GREAT in my opinion. Preferably grilled (charcoal or gas) or over an open (bon)fire... but they're still tolerable when boiled or microwaved.

Can't speak to how good they really are, but the most fun I had with hot dogs was on a bike camping trip with some friends. We were all in high school and were low on money so we got the cheapest ones we could. "Tom Sawyer" brand. The first ingredient was "Meat (may contain beef, pork, and/or chicken)."

😀

The red ones with super cancer. Emmmm, nitrates! Deadly but oh-so tasty.

and yeah, nowhere does it better than in Chicago.

Nathan's - Natural casing (NOT all beef)

Grilled, a bit browned (nice deep grill marks)
onions, mustard a bit of ketchup

Sides: Potato salad, corn on the cob and watermelon.
