Well, as most of you should remember, we started a bet on when TA would pass Slashdot(http://forums.anandtech.com/arcmessageview.cfm?catid=39&threadid=197754). Now, we're nearing the first of the dates that people betted on, so here's an update.:)

Now, according to Strates' numbers, we have 55 days left until we pass, which means Kwatt is the closest. Now, I know you truely want BoberFett to win(Ok, not really;)), so we need more blocks(really, we do:))! Everyone get out there and assimilate every machines you can, because 55 days is way too long!:D

PS Grand prize is 34K blocks :)

Hey ViRGE if we're 55 days away then Kwatt is right on the money. Engine and UmberAC are about 1 month late.

Russ, I thing the TA Cube is suffering from time dilation. Too much time at Warp Speed can get you out of sync (probably irregular, too). Now that #2 has those extra CPU's, your guess is probably March 7 or later.

Now, If I can get a lot of TA OGR guys doing RC5 for a month, then get some Slash dot RC5 guys to do OGR, then I can win the blocks, The TA OGR guys can go back to OGR, we beat slash there....

This could work out after all. :D

Hey Dantoo

I guess I need to switch the rest of my cpu's to RC5 from OGR. And then save up for a big dump on the 29th:D :D

Just kidding :)

Actually, how long roughly does it take to complete an OGR work unit (for a PIII-600).

VSS1980, OGR work units vary quite a bit in size. my P3-500 on average does 1-3 work units a day. I've had work units that take only 1/2 a minute or ones that take a day or more.

BTW: why did Jatwell have to take my birthday?;)

I still got today!

Everyone DUMP!!!

lol, yeah right, like we could dump 45 million blocks in one day, that would be something. DNET servers would probably start a nuclear reaction under that much load
