Dasm, I only joined a few weeks after gopunk, but I have less than 1/3 the number of posts.

Am I the only person that feels that "regal" titles like "Lifer" should be based more "time in service" than post count? I mean, take the current Lifers (minus, DannyLove, of course 😉) and look at their join dates. Oct 1999 or not long thereafter. They have paid their dues, so to speak.

Personally, I don't feel that someone who joined 7 months ago merits the "Lifer" title...even if he does post 45 or 55 or however many posts a day. Just MHO, that's all.

You could say the same thing about all the other automatic titles. Does someone who joined a month ago deserve Golden? Two months ago, Platinum? Lifer is not a title that is granted based on "merit", it's just like the others; based solely on post count.
