Let me LOL at your "calm, cool, and like a pro" remark, all she does is start shouting back, passing on blame, and taking zero accountability...much like the rest of the democratic reps but I digress.

She barely even raised her voice during the entire ordeal; what hearing did you watch?

Either he didn't watch at all or his mind filled in the gaps and came to the conclusion it was programmed to...

LOOK AT HER FLAILING LIKE A WILD PERSON!!! EEGGHAHHH!!!!!

I swear she was wearing an ear bud receiver and good 'ol Bill was coaching her from a side room, with elevator music being played in between Bill's comms, because some of her actions, her swipe backs, facial expressions and gesturing had Bill all over it.

Either that or she was cruising right along with the help from some robust mother's little helpers.

I'm sure she's learned plenty from Bill over the years. The other bit doesn't make sense. Stimulants do not provide the cool calm demeanor she exhibited through the whole thing. For her, it was an exercise in tedium like being stuck in traffic. Just sit back & relax, wait for it to be over.

It was an exhibition of confidence & command of the truth.

She said "Wear yourselves out". They did. I think she was ready for a few more rounds.

The only thing the committee knew afterwards that they didn't know before is that they were fucked.

Fox #1 just proves the point. They ALONE serve half the nation.
The others fight for the other half.

That brings to mind a question as to why there aren't any other cable news channels that compete with FOX for those audiences that like to watch hard core conservative oriented programming.

edit - I mean, being that FOX is so popular, why aren't other stations attempting to get a share of FOX's high ratings?

Why are you so firmly entrenched in your beliefs? Therein lies your answer. Assuming of course you can be honest with yourself.

Having posed that to you, the entire cable industry is on the cusp of being relegated to the waste pile. Young people aren't interested at all in visual entertainment of that sort and the middle aged folks are transitioning away. Old people are the only ones left to support the business model.

The sole news oriented channel that is not in lockstep with the rest is going to eventually just fade away. Unfortunately from your perspective, based on their enormous popularity, they will be the last to go.

It's actually ~30% iirc.

It brings to mind something Jerry Springer offered about his show- "Crap sells".

That's pretty much the story of every Repub whoop-ti-doo since 2008.

I'd guess that FOX has the respected Conservative Journalists under contract and that splitting the viewers up would result in two mediocre performing networks. Maybe I'm wrong but that is my guess.

That's the thing though, they don't. You're confusing cable news audiences with the general audience.

Wolfe nailed it earlier, Fox's innovation was exactly to abandon the neutrality that was expected of news outlets and embrace an explicitly partisan approach. If you like that better that's fine, but don't try to pretend that Fox is simply the other side of the same coin.

It's such a relief to know that after these hard hitting debates, the presidency is a cushy ride with no hard decisions or criticisms to address.
So once they slough through these gotcha questions from the evil media, they'll be on easy street fielding questions from unstable leaders, dictators, etc.

This. Unfortunately.

The whole 'borrowing from the future' thing has never made any sense to me, particularly considering how most of our debt is internally owned. It's the usual misunderstanding where people think country finances and personal finances have anything to do with one another.

I don't blame the RNC one bit...CNBC was an absolute train wreck. I only watched bits and pieces, but damn, it was bad...really bad.

It was pretty bad. They tried to be all Fox-like, but with no real concept of how to do it. The sad part was that it allowed the candidates to dodge the real questions being asked (that they probably couldn't answer) by complaining about the moderators.

Fox is #1 because they tell their peeps what they want to hear not the truth. That's why loyal Fox Viewers are the most politically ignorant.

I personally would like to see FOX moderate one of the Democrat debates...but it's clear that the DNC knows better than to do that.

I wouldn't mind that, but surely you realize that comparing an explicitly partisan source like Fox and CNBC (of all other news outlets!) is an incredibly silly thing to do.

This is what wolfe mentioned earlier and what I talked about in my other post. Fox and the rest of the news media are not two sides of the same coin. One side is biased towards sensationalism and conflict (the traditional media) and one is biased towards promoting conservative political ideology (Fox News).

You basically already have seen it, the Benghazi hearing?

I watched Fox on and off yesterday to see their spin/take on the debate, They were pushing it hard, and always throwing in DSF's point that I quoted.

reality is missing a touch from you.

The media is the media. Fox leans right, the rest lean left to varying degrees. To attempt to claim the rest aren't partisan or don't push an ideology is naive.
