The good old AGP 2x/Irongate/Geforce conflict

I could have sworn this was said to be fixed.

I have a K7 Pro, Stepping 6 clock generator 110. I also have a Leadtek Winfast Geforce DDR. Games with AGP 2x on freeze in a matter of minutes. With it off, it works just fine. Even though AGP 2x is disabled by the drivers, I thought that Stepping 5+ mobos no longer had the conflict and it was safe to enable 2x in the registry.

This isn't the case. Is there another workaround? I want my AGP 2x damnit. It makes a small, but noticable, difference.

Download any video card updates first, if that doesn't help, then try finding some BIOS updates. If that doesn't work, ask someone else.

Hey
here's what you will need to do

1.Increase your AGP Apature size to 256
2.if your bios has a fast write option set it to disabled
3.down load the latest Nvidia drivers

Good Luck

Irongate boards are AGP 2x only and there is no option for fast rights.
Increasing the AGP aperture size to 256 MB did nothing...I already have the Det3 drivers installed...still at 1x.

I have the same problem as well. The 6.31 drivers set me to AGP1X with no Side band. How do you force AGP 2X and Fast Writes and Side Band?
