The generic just doesn't cut it.

Ok, inspired by the muffin thread.
Which products do you buy the name brand because the generic is clearly inferior?

If I ate them, PopTarts. I've had one organic type tart that was good, but usually all the off brands suck.

Cola. Some store brands are ok but so are really sickly sweet. Worse than Pepsi to the point of being undrinkable. It's Coca-Cola or nothing.

Wal-Mart's tartar sauce is also pretty gross. Way too much dill.

motherboards
sound equipment
definitely sodas
a lot of generic chips tasted as good if not better
pasta sauces

soda for sure. I did find some really nice generic pop tarts (actually they taste just like regular pop tarts... i was shocked because I got three packs for $1 compared to four packs of pop-tarts for $3-odd).

I buy things that I like and want - which completely precludes every generic product made in existence. Probably. I'm thinking...

No, I will buy generic paper, generic toilet paper, generic um. That's it. Shit, I don't even buy generic gasoline.

Generic toilet paper either hurts or just doesn't clean my bum. Only the good stuff for my anus.

All computer stuff. Had too many issues.
Ditto guns. That Cobra Arms is only a hundred bucks for a reason.
Cola. But most other soda pop's are fine in generic.
And most recently, underpants. I have much more comfort with fancy Adidas and Tommy's than the cheap stuff.

Thisaone. Most "cola"s taste terrible and leave an aftertaste. It's Coca-cola or Pepsi.

Also cereal; fruit Loops are not "fruit rings".
