The friging Chinese are taking over the world *rant alert*

YOU are helping China to take over the world.

Everyone these days buys shit from China, no one gives a crap anymore about buying American products. Hell, as long as its dirt cheap, we don't give a rats ass about its quality and the fact that 8 year old kids were kidnapped or sold and enslaved to produce this goods.

China is a country that among many many other bad things deprives human rights (oh wait, didn't google and yahoo help them screen content...), and don't be fooled, it doesn't want to be our friend, it just smiles to us, for now, until they're strong enough to kick our balls.

This is not only true for Americans, also Canadians and Europeans are going to suffer from this. We give all of our technological knowledge to China for free.

Citizens of the free world should wake the fuck up (pardon my french) and realize what's going on.

P.S: did someone say India? WTF is going on?!

I've got a better idea, why won't you go back to China (or whichever hole you crawled out of), and stop taking over my fucking country.

Ok, I understand a great amount of ATOT members are asians, so I want to clarify this, I have nothing against asians in general, and more specific againt american-asians, my only problem is with communist countries taking over the world economy, So I just want to make sure you all know its not an asian thing, and to illustrate my point I can say that the damn Russians (the country..) are also a pain in the ass, though they deserver their own thread.

It is a combination of factors. We've all sold out to the Communists, China in particular.

You look at the growth they have attained from 1992 to now. Both Clinton and GWB have been favorable to China in a big way.

And then add in the ever-growing American penchant for cheap goods. It's a vicious cycle.

I have no love for Chinese made goods or the fact that the Chinese are actively helping to make tigers & other animals extinct ... but I still think that your tin foil hat is on too tight 😀

Unlimited access to the world wide web is a human right? :Q

Wake up and understand the Chinese already have us by the balls. If they stop buying the dollar our economy implodes. Perhaps you should thank them, or lobby for serious fiscal reform.

I might also suggest looking into moving to another planet, or come to accept the fact we are all stuck on the same damn rock called Earth.

Fine, shut off your computer because most of the parts came from China....

Right, in America our sh*t don't stink. You don't see soldiers from China "invading" the middle east stirring trouble.

Human rights? Bought any Saudi-sourced gasoline, recently?

I think we're in a transitional period, one which will take many generations. It wasn't too long ago that corporations in the US didn't think much of threatening workers, or employing children. Worker safety? Hah, workers are disposable. If someone loses an arm, so what, fire them and hire someone else who can do their job. "Don't be fooled," 😉 companies in the US don't really give a damn about workers, they only pretend to care because they're forced to do so by the government. When a safety issue is cited, is it because, "We don't want you to get hurt," it's because, "OSHA says that we need to do such-and-such." True, some OSHA requirements go a bit overboard, but many are there to prevent risk of serious injury. Organizations like that exist because corporations just don't give a damn about their disposable workforce.

That's where China is right now. Maybe in several decades, they'll catch up, assuming those in power (not just in their nation, but in potential rivals as well) don't succumb to primitive, animal-like behaviors, and choose to engage in armed conflict over petty matters.

No, I don't think he is joking. WWW access is not a right, it's a privilege. In the US, are you given the right to access the Internet? No, you have to seek out a company to provide it for you, and then you pay money for access.

I think that users in China know that their Internet is censored, but you know what? They still choose to use it. If they really didn't like it, fine, boycott it until it's fixed. If organized revolution is required to enable the freedom to do so, well, that's the price. Is it worth it?
Concerning sweat shops - again, people actively choose to work there. Yes, there are factories which use forced labor, and I do find that unacceptable. But I believe that the majority of jobs are voluntary. People seek jobs in such places, as it's a step up from the life they would have had prior to employment.
