LOL! I just saw it a few days ago too... and I was also pissed that they took the easy way out by making it an aliens movie!

WTF... how much harder would it have been to just make it a conspiracy?

yeah, lots of loose ends. and i swear if i heard Julianne Moore scream 'Sam' one more time, I was going to whip the remote. Her performance was reminiscent of the coked-out porn star in Boogie Nights.

I thought a couple of the scare scenes were well done... like the angle of the car broadsiding their car... and how the black woman investigator suddenly got taken away... and lastly how the alien dude screamed FORGET at Julianne Moore while his face changed... that sh!t freaks me the fvkc out.

i hated the face morph (see post ^^). my wife was already asleep at that point too. 🙁 2 scary 4 me. i do love scary movies though.

Here's an interesting thought.

What if the aliens never existed?

What if she was just psycho-schizo the whole movie dreaming this all up? She comes in and out of reality, thus the end where she's back to reality and no one knows a thing.

Did she ever even have a husband? She confronted him, and he didn't know who she was. Was that really him being brainwashed, or was it a moment of reality?

ONLY good scenes in the movie worth watching = getting sucked outta earth.
Especially the scene where the black female cop got sucked away...made everyone jump.

watched it just now, worst movie evar. saw the alternate ending also. no sign of the alien in that ending. its just an "experiment". I'd rather see a movie about those scientists than see the subjects. horrible horrible movie.

I just rented this last night, and thought it sucked. FWIW, I watched the theatrical version, rather than the alternate/extended cut. I just didn't find the concept interesting or believable. I'd give it 2/5.

I saw it too. I was like WTF? Aliens? I had to watch both versions just to see. I liked the alternate ending better.
