The Force Unleashed: 360, PS3, or Wii version?

I love some eye candy, and I know this will look better on the PS3 or 360, but the gameplay potential looks awesome on the Wii.

Which version would you buy if you had the choice of all 3, and why? (unique features, etc)

Thanks

The only thing the wii has on it is multiplayer saber dueling. Not sure how it is though so it could just be a wasted gimmick.

I'm debating between the Wii and 360 versions as well. I think the overall experience on the 360 will be better but the Wii has the potential to be more fun. I'm waiting on the reviews.

Haven't played it yet. I've heard the PS3 version has some sound glitches (according to one review), that don't happen in the 360 version.

I think this is a perfect example of where the Wii could use demos of full games. I too am really curious on not only the controls for the Wii but the multiplayer part of the game even if it is local only.

Patches via PSN could resolve that.

There are some glitches in the 360 version too.

(Minor Spoiler Alert)

About 10 mins into the game, I was fighting a jedi, and I forced pushed him. He went offscreen, disappeared, both of our health bars went to zero, and I couldn't go forward or back at that point, and had to restart from the beginning. Didn't happen the 2nd time luckily.

Also, later in the game, I forced pushed open some doors to a closet or something, went in, there was nothing there, but then I got stuck in the closet (insert homoerotic comment here), and couldn't get out, even after force blasting the doors to hell and back. Had to restart from the previous save point.

These were the big ones, although there was some noticeable pop-in for me.

Having said that, as a Star Wars fan, this is a pretty awesome game, personally around an 8/10 for me for the 45 minutes or so I got to play of it, and I'll definitely buy it when it hits the stores. I'd like to say LucasArts will patch it to fix these problems, but my experience with LucasArts on the PC platform would indicate probably not.

I read somewhere that the Wii has some extra force abilities that the other versions don't. This in addition to the duel mode makes it tempting to get that one. I'd say PS3 or 360 for eye candy factor, or Wii for fun factor. Whatever's more important.

According to Game Informer, the Wii version skews from the 360/PS3 versions pretty early in the game as far as objectives in the game, likely due to technology limits on the Wii.

How that's going to play out remains to be seen.

Metacritic scores:
Xbox 360 - 74
PS3 - 71
Wii - not enough reviews yet. Two scores - 60 and 74.

the ign review gave it a 7.3 for ps3...seems the overall view is that it is short and not living up to the hype...kinda pissed cause i was really going to enjoy it for wii...we'll see

Hmm....responses are making it tough. Maybe I need to buy one for the Wii and one for the 360 so I'll have the eye candy.

Wonder how I can slip that one by the wife.............

I would have thought the 360 and PS3 would be about even.

They don't have the same number of reviews. Only 15 reviews for the PS3 version and 28 for the 360 version. The PS3 version is also missing a review from The Onion AV club that gave the 360 version a 91.

General consensus says this game isn't worth full retail price. I lost all my hype for it once I played the demo and found that the lightsaber was nothing more than a glowing baseball bat. *Yawn*

I've played this game and I'll admit that I'm really letdown :( This game was pretty long in the making, and this is the best Lucasarts can come up with? Sad :(

I don't think there's a question of whether or not to buy. The question becomes whether to buy new or used. From the reviews and general consensus, it appears used is the way to go.

I can't ever figure Blockbuster out but I went there during lunch to do my normal movie exchange on Tuesdays and they had the Force Unleashed in. So, I went ahead and rented it. I had fun enough with the demo and the story intrigues me enough to warrant giving it a try with renting.

I have a 360 and a PS3.

I think if given the choice, I will always choose the PS3 version for the following reasons:

1. I have my PS3 on HDMI, looks and sounds better than component with my 360. This might be due to my television, but it is what it is, VGA looks a little better but I don't have audio inputs that will work with that on my set.

2. I have virtually unlimited HD space on my PS3, while my 360 is almost full.

3. My PS3 makes virtually no noise, while my 360 sounds like a dustbuster.

4. While I prefer the 360 dashboard by a factor of about 1 billion to 1, I don't have a wireless adapter, and since I've moved my 360 into my living room, I don't have any connectivity. I also refuse on principle to pay $100 for the adapter which costs $5 to make.

I'm not a PS3 fanboy by any stretch and some people might consider these to be superficial reasons, but from here on out, unless it's a 360 only title, I'm going for the PS3 version.

I prefer the 360 controller over the PS3 dual shock, but that and the dashboard(no wireless though) aren't enough to get me to choose the 360 version.

I want this game to be great, but I think I might just rent it.

I pre-ordered SW: FU for Wii from ToysRUs. Well on release day, I get an e-mail stating there is a delay and my game is "Backordered". WTF??? Whoever heard of preordering a game only to have it backordered on the release date?
