Hi all,

Before I post an item for sale in the appropriate thread, I wanted to ask if there's a good way of ensuring that a transaction doesn't go bad such as using a third party to hold the money until the item is received by the buyer. That way, risk can be reduced/eliminated (for both buyer and seller).

Thanks.

Rarely, if at all, will anyone use an escrow service or third-party. Not to say it doesn't happen, but it's far from the norm.

Definitely look over the rules and advice threads for pointers that should keep everything on the up and up for you. Ask around with some of the more experienced traders if you have questions.

I would recommend trading with only people who are established buyers/sellers when you first start out. Check references carefully.

Make sure you do your part as well. Everything should be packaged really well. Take it to a ups/fedex store if you don't have the materials.

Read all of the rules in the FS/T forum before you post.

this is a good idea, when n00b trades with n00b , there is more chance for trouble.
