I came across this while surfing for over-clocking guides. The "guide" was touting the cooler as the upper end of air-cooled solutions. It's a heatpipe cooler integrating a TEC device. Here's the review results:

Not only are the test results poor -- the damn thing weighs 3 lbs. If it were worth using, you could find a way of mounting the pusher-puller fans so they don't hang on the cooler. That buys you a 3/4 lb reduction.

But it isn't worth using.

Look at the NH-D15 in this comparison. I'd be willing to bet that I can squeeze another 3 to 5C improvement from the D15, pushing its performance to match the high-scoring AiO coolers. I could do it without a serious noise penalty, too. I've already proven my D14 to match an H110. Or, it comes close enough that the results are nearly indistinguishable.

The folks who design these contraptions ought to make a serious performance target for their designs before they release them to the public.

I feel sorry for enthusiasts who jump too quickly to buy such an item. At least with the AiO's and plain-and-simple heatpipe coolers, buyers won't be swayed with a complicating technological enhancement that doesn't give any advantage in the mix. Most you can hope from this V3 thing is a warped motherboard.
