The FL sh**-sandwich that will cost Trump.

BUTCH1

The $77 million web-only based Rick Scott "re-employment assistance" CONNECT system is failing so bad that 7 of 8 applications from COVID19 have yet to be processed, we lead the country by far!, https://www.politico.com/states/flo...florida-becomes-a-nightmare-for-trump-1271172 I had to use this joke in 2012, it was crashing routinely back then and has never been improved. The Flash-based web app was coded so bad it was laughable, it crashed on me 3 times before finally getting my application through. mind you I had had decent rig, high speed internet, a decent amount of tech-savvy and all God damm day. Now we have many that don't have any of that, (smart-phone takeover) a system designed to fail and many, many desperate, angry residents. Since Trump was/is a Scott supporter and my God, they had to pry Desantis off his corn-hole they will reap the seeds sewn. All the residents of 'Redneck Rivera" are finally getting their shitty choices shoved back up their ass. Plenty of people code here, I don't, but anyone would LOL at it costing $77 million.

How is our technology so far behind countries like South Korea when we are a much wealthier country than they are.

I thought flash was dead, who the hell is still using that shit?
It was designed in 2011 and never updated. At least the mandatory "skills assessment test" was eliminated in 2014 from the threat of a lawsuit. Desantis had bragged om the campaign trail of the lowest cost per employee in FL vs anywhere, (national average $250, FL $50).

Interesting. So those republicans they quoted pretty much think Trump is screwed in FLA because people aren't getting their unemployment benefits.

I hope they're right.
Our current governor, (Desantis), ran ad's during his campaign with his 5yr old son building a plastic "wall" while he and Dad chanted "build that wall!". Wages are low here in FL and with tourism accounting for a huge part of the economy many people were living paycheck to paycheck before COV19. Now they are broke, unemployed, and waiting in massive food bank lines with no idea when their claim will be processed.

On the bright side, there's opening at some of the most prestigious retirement homes

Let me be clear, this was not good intentions gone bad, this was finding ever possible hurdle to put in front of someone with every intent of them not collecting a dime.

And this is not just true in Florida, the low percentage of unemployed workers that actually collect benefits nationwide is no accident. It's deliberate. And now when there's a critical need to get benefits to massive numbers of people, the system that was deliberately made to be byzantine can't handle it.

Can't apply his skills stealing from Medicare, to fix the problem? I'm so surprised. Now he's their Senator.

Duplicity of Republicans. Rail that big government is bad while at the same time doing everything to sabotage it.

Trumpers will cry the same thing. As Trump crashes and burns they will blame big government, forgetting Trump fired all the career service people with all the experience. That's because they were the so called "deep state". Now that we need them to fight the pandemic, there are none.

And not so shockingly he was one of six GOP senators who voted against the unemployment bump saying $600/week was 'excessive" . Now don't get me wrong, unemployed people should be looking for a new job, in my case it took seven weeks, I was just lucky though, the COV19 event will not have many openings to fill. One Democrat congress member from Miami has opened a Federal investigation into w2hat happened with the $1.6 billion FL has received to bolster it's UC system/funds since 2010, not too mention the $40 million just received from the PPP. The tiny amount getting benefits have not seen the extra $600 yet and Desantis will not commit to making weeks unable to file due to a hobbled system retroactive either.

It's not the amount of wealth that a country has, it's the amount of wealth being used to benefit the country rather than a few individuals who control the country for their own benefit.

The world's GDP is how many trillions...why are there people living in abject poverty? Hint: it has to do with who has the money, obviously.

I'm still skeptical the cult will ever turn on the Dear Leader.
They won't as long as he's winning. As soon as he starts losing, i.e. elections, then they'll just claim that:
1. Trump was really a Democrat
2. They didn't really like Trump or support him, they were just supporting a Republican over a communist
3. They're really Independents™, who just happen to only vote for Republicans.

Well at least it wasn't 2.1 billion.

In August 2014, the Inspector General’s office for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services reported that the original estimate for the cost of contracts associated with developing HealthCare.gov totaled $1.7 billion. In its own September 2014 investigation, Bloomberg Government, in an independent analysis, tallied the cost of the website at $2.1 billion.

It was also an over priced disaster.

But I do agree this is a clusterfuck at 77 million and should have been fixed years ago. I do not see where Trump was involved in this. Designed in 2011.
