I make some doughnuts every now and then but that's it.
I avoid junk food.

Some of that article is BS, though.

I try to quit soda, but water gets rather... boring... after a while. Fries and doughnuts aren't hard to avoid, but I eat pizza almost daily :(

Sounds like possible junk science. They mention in passing that aspartame is harmful, but provide no evidence, let alone proof.

Good thing I don't drink soda often, hate fried foods (well, most anyway; I'd kill a man for mozzorella sticks :p), I don't eat chips often and rarely have doughnuts. :)

How about you eat what you want to eat, just manage your portions and get 30 minutes of activity a day. That's what I do to maintain my 60lb weightloss! :D

In fact, I have a pizza in the oven right now. I haven't eaten one for about a week now. As long as you don't eat junk food daily, you should be OK. You only live once and I'll be damned if I'm going to let some speculation get in the way of enjoying food. It's our source of energy and life. My grandpa still eats pizza, soda, and doughnuts and he's almost 90. :)

Yeah... I ate a big old apple fritter yesterday and I swore them off. I didn't even really enjoy it. Just way too rich for me. I'm going for a healthy alternative next time. Now, soda I don't worry about because I drink diet cola. Figure that's not bad for me. French fries I don't eat much any more, just rarely. Deep fried foods, same thing. Chips, same thing. Mostly, I don't eat that stuff, just occasionally. I do eat some stuff that's not good for me, but I don't make it a habit. Just once in a while. That way I get away with it.

Edit: This guy puts down on caffeinated drinks, but a recent study completed in Japan strongly indicates that coffee drinkers have a much lower incidence of liver cancer, IIRC. Saw it on TV news! There seem to be a lot of differences of opinion on coffee. I drink only organic coffee, BTW. I heard that the pesticides they use on coffee are particularly bad.

Funny. My diet consists almost exclusively of the things on his list. I have low BP, good blood sugar, and have to drink a quart of whole milk each day to prevent my weight from dropping to around 130 pounds. As it stands now, I'm 6'0" and 141 pounds.
